Low-cost measurement of facemask efficacy for filtering expelled droplets during speech
This study measured the effectiveness of different types of masks. Basically,gaiter/neck fleeces actually decrease the size of the droplets and spread droplets more.

The 2 main criteria that warrant genetic testing for breast cancer in women are age and having a family history of cancer. Postmenopausal women without any hereditary risk factors, however, often do not undergo genetic testing for the disease.

Long-Term Follow-Up Suggests Estrogen-Only and Combination Hormone Replacement Therapy Have Opposite Effects on Breast Cancer Risk

New Texas Law Cuts Out-of-Pocket Costs for Diagnostic Mammograms

Recommendation to Omit Radiation Therapy after Lumpectomy for Some Breast Cancer Patients Is Frequently Not Implemented in Clinical Practice
There are some women who can safely avoid radiation after lumpectomy. This study showed that as of two years ago, the national guideline was not being followed. Everyone please speak with your surgeon and radiation oncologist. Understand whether or not you fit the criteria and would truly benefit from post-lumpectomy radiation.

Ladies-please spread the word! Risk assessments can be done to estimate your lifetime risk of breast cancer. Based on this, we can make recommendations for regular screening mammograms or additional studies.
