How did I get here and why I am doing this?!

Over the last few years Iโ€™ve had the honor of studying naturopathic medicine with some of the greatest docs in the profession. Using the principles and modalities I was learning in the program and with the support of my health mentors, I was blessed with the opportunity to reflect on and inevitably redesign my life to one that I love waking up to every morning!!

As expected this included my diet! I was definitely eating healthier than I had in the past but we always have room for improvement, right?! Over the last few years I modified my diet to include primarily whole foods (as organic as I can afford), proper hydration (I swear by Kangen alkaline water!) but everything I did to keep a proper exercise regimen failed. In fact, I was yearning to get back into a workout groove so I started a 30 day fitness challenge that bragged it would transform your body with 5 simple exercises in just 10 minutes a day! Easy, peasy or so I thought...

Simple exercises...yea on paper but not necessarily easy for an out of shape medical school student who had just finished midterms! About midway through the challenge, I was planking and felt a โ€˜popโ€™ in the middle of my right back. It turned out that the pressure in my lungs was so great the top of my right lung had ruptured in a weak spot (bullae) causing air to get in-between the lung tissue and itโ€™s protective membranous sac. As a future naturopathic doctor, I automatically dove deep in search of the root cause primarily focusing on creating the conditions for health (step 1 in the Naturopathic hierarchy of treatment).

In that search I remembered a friend mentioning JuicePlus+ and a study they did on lung health. I sought her out and after hearing more about the company and itโ€™s mission, I eagerly purchased the recommended trio which included the garden, vineyard and orchard blends. As millions of other people around the world have experienced, it was the missing link in my everyday moderately good food regimen. In the six weeks I have been taking JuicePlus+ Iโ€™ve noticed a significant difference in my sleep, focus and energy level. I no longer need caffeine to function and if you know me, you know this is HUGE! I used to drink it by the gallon and now I just don't want it! Iโ€™ve also noticed my focus during lectures/studying has become quite sharp making it easier to comprehend and digest the material - an unexpected but much appreciated result of feeding my body the nutrients it needs! I also want to exercise - yup I said it, I WANT TO EXERCISE! Again, huge for me as Iโ€™m one of those people that used to find a million other things that need to be done instead!!
