Violet Crown Therapy I help people explore authenticity, vulnerability, and connection in a compassionate & empathic way. I graduated from St.

For as long as I can remember, I have thrived on working with people and helping them with various life happenings–whatever they may be. Edward’s University with a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and am provisionally licensed as an LPC-Intern. During my undergraduate studies, I discovered my love for working with individuals (and their family members) on the autism spectrum and would like to continue working with individuals with ASD in the years to come. I also enjoy working with anyone who requires guidance and support through varying life transitions, changes, and challenges. As a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, I help promote healthy boundaries and autonomy to the clients I work with and teach valuable social and life skills. I understand and empathize with the fact that life happens and everyone experiences various challenges and uncertainties at one point in time or another. With this in mind, I acknowledge how important therapy is to help people navigate through those struggles to help with increased self-awareness, self-esteem, support, autonomy, and overall life satisfaction. My approach to therapy is authentic, genuine, and free of judgment so therapy with me will feel comfortable (even when things get emotional or awkward) because client’s will always be able to be undeniably themselves.

Feeling “off” after the holidays is incredibly common.
Your nervous system has likely been in a heightened state from travel, socializing, disrupted routines, and constant stimulation. When the pace slows, your body finally has space to feel the impact, which can look like fatigue, irritability, tension, or trouble focusing.

The good news: this is a normal recalibration.

Returning to basics helps your system settle again: consistent meals, sleep, hydration, gentle movement, and lowering stimulation where you can. Small steps make a noticeable difference.

Be patient with your body as it resets. 🧡

Some therapist friends (shout out to Katy & Grace!) were talking about the real-world hazards of this job recently…the things you don’t learn in grad school, but kind of grow into. Not bad things, just the human parts of being a therapist in regular life. Here are a few that feel really familiar lately 💛✌🏻

Spent the weekend in beautiful spaces with some of the best company—I think this feels like a nervous system reset & slow down (which I’m especially grateful for).

I’m feeling all the feels and truly delighting in this joy right now. 💛

Excited to share I will have a recorded version of this training available for anyone interested *soon* (soon being…mid-November 2025 or so).

This training has been SO MUCH FUN & I’ve left feeling inspired by & grateful for the wonderful community of therapists that have shown up.

Interested in getting some ethics CEUs? Reach out (you can also sign-up in the link in bio). Recorded trainings not your thing? I’m pretty sure I’ll have more live opportunities to do this in spring of 2026. Stay tuned ✌🏻

In Texas, new counselors start out as LPC-Associates after finishing graduate school and passing their licensing exam. During this phase, they work under the guidance of an LPC-Supervisor (that’s me!) while they gain hands-on experience and continue to grow their clinical skills.

Bodies. Don’t. Tell. The. Whole. Story. ✌🏻

Thin, thick, muscular, curvy, able (or not)…none of it tells the whole story. Society tells us to judge by appearance, but I’m here to remind you that your body isn’t a measure of health. Don’t let society convince you otherwise.

In therapy, we talk about naming things (a lot) because language helps make the invisible visible.

The words we choose can soothe, empower, or harm. They can open doors or close them and any & all things in-between.

I want to encourage you to, maybe just notice:
-How you speak to yourself.
-The words you reach for when you’re stressed.
-The tone that follows you into hard conversations.

Words are tools. Let’s use them intentionally. 💛

Gratitude. 💛

I just wrapped up the second (and final…for now!) training in my “Letting Go Ethically: When Referring Is the Right Call” series and I’m sitting here feeling really full in the best way.

Full of gratitude for the people who showed up with openness, curiosity, and honesty.

Full of respect for the hard, thoughtful work therapists do every day, especially when it comes to navigating the messy, human parts of our role.

Full of appreciation for being trusted to share space, stories, and learning with so many incredible clinicians.

Just grateful. 💛
