🌟 Meet the Board: Lawrence Spain – Vice President

Meet Lawrence Spain, Vice President of Austin TAAP and a powerful advocate for recovery, inclusivity, and community healing.

Lawrence’s journey into the field of Substance Use Disorder began in 2018, when he founded in Austin after losing a loved one to both addiction and mental illness. That life-changing moment inspired him to step into service—helping others find hope, purpose, and direction in their own recovery.

Today, Lawrence operates two Spain Sober Living homes in Austin, providing safe, structured housing for individuals in early recovery. In addition to his leadership as VP of Austin TAAP, he also served as our Diversity and Inclusion Chair, creating space for all voices and experiences within our recovery community.

Lawrence also brings his passion to a broader audience through his work as Business Development Representative for , representing their San Antonio region. His work bridges the gap between clinical care and community connection, ensuring more people have access to the support they need.

With a heart for healing and a deep understanding of the challenges many face, Lawrence continues to lead with empathy, purpose, and a vision for lasting change.
