Last night was my last class with a sweet Austin couple and they gave me these beautiful flowers. 💕
After spending 6 weeks together preparing for their baby's birth, it's always a little bittersweet when class ends. But I know they are prepared and ready to bring their baby into the world as a team.

Nutrition is important throughout your pregnancy because you aren't just feeding yourself, but you're also feeding your growing baby and body.
For the next few weeks we're going to talk about the benefits of eating foods of all different colors.
Today's color is GREEN! 🥦🥒🥗
Green foods are packed with vitamins, full of fiber, and will help you absorb protein. They support a good immune system and help fight off many diseases.
Foods that fall into the greens category include leafy greens, salad greens, broccoli, chard, bok choy...etc. It's easy to steam some broccoli or cabbage, sautee some brussels sprouts, toss some spinach or kale into a smoothie, or add chopped greens to your pastas and soups.
It's recommended to get 2 servings of dark, leafy greens a day, as well as an additional 9-11 of servings of vegetables and fruits.
As a Birth Boot Camp Instructor, I'm here to prepare you AND your birth partner for the birth you desire. 💚
I see this all the time...
At the end of pregnancy, it is easy to be over it. To want to try natural induction techniques to "get your body ready" for labor OR to induce contractions to get things started.
But trust me.
Your body knows what it's doing. You may or may not feel it, but your body is warming up for labor. Your body doesn't need you to do anything special for it to do what it was made to do.
Your baby is also working with your body to be born. Labor will start when they are ready.
You increase your chances of having the birth you desire when you let go of trying to control when your labor starts and trust yourself...your body....and your baby.
Saying this affirmation daily at the end of your pregnancy can be helpful:
"I trust my body. I trust my baby. I trust labor will start when they are ready".
What can you do today to decrease stress in your life?
It's amazing how stress can effect our bodies and minds, especially during pregnancy.
It can amplify any pregnancy discomforts you may have, making them feel worse.
It may alter your appetite, making you eat less or more than you would normally eat.
And so many other things...seriously the list could go on and on. But the good thing is is that you have the power to make changes in your life to decrease stress and it's impact it has on you.
Some of my favorite Stress Relievers are:
💚 Laughing with my sister.
💚 Taking a break to snuggle my cat, "Bad Baby".
💚 Going for a walk outside.
What are yours?
Your class workbook is THAT good. 😁
Each Birth Boot Camp class you take comes with a workbook that is FULL of supplemental information and things to discuss and practice on at home with your partner.
🎃 Happy Halloween!
9 months can fly by!
Giving yourself time to prepare for your baby's birth is an important part of having the birth you want. I always recommend starting sooner rather than later 😊
This OR That! Which do you plan on using with your baby?
I've used both, but really loved cloth diapering.
