one of our ambassadors, Lonnie Thompson, was invited to speak on the daily show last week. lonnie has spent his entire adult life traveling to some of the most remote tropical ice caps on earth — leading 68 expeditions across 16 countries to drill ice cores that hold vital atmospheric records.

his groundbreaking work helped shape the science behind climate change as we understand it today — and beyond the science, he’s simply a great human.

we’re honored to have lonnie as part of the shār family.
