Our 8th grade students are stepping up to the mic and competing in an exciting Podcast Competition—and they’re not just participating… they’re leading the way as the next generation of creative thinkers, communicators, and global citizens.

Through this experience, students are:
✨ Developing strong communication skills in English
✨ Exploring real-world topics and meaningful ideas
✨ Building confidence in expressing their voice
✨ Showcasing creativity through storytelling and innovation

It was a great turnout today celebrating the retirement of Chief Reginald Hardy. 🎉

Chief Hardy’s leadership, service, and dedication have left a lasting impact—not only within CDCE, but throughout the VA community. As a U.S. Navy veteran, his career reflects a lifetime of service and commitment to others.

I was truly honored that the entire CDCE management team invited me to be part of this special farewell. Grateful to be there to recognize Chief Hardy’s legacy and wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter.

I’m truly honored to have the opportunity to help Army Veteran Gene Heard, who served our country for 9 years and is a proud Vietnam veteran.

Gene has spent many years working at the Neill-Cochran House Museum, where his name is even displayed on a plaque — a testament to the impact he’s had there.
