We are following the recommended guidelines from the CDC and Baylor Scott & White Health and have updated our patient appointments and procedure practices. We have also temporarily closed 2 of our clinics as we make the necessary adjustments caring for our patients. If you are coming into the clinic, please check our website or confirm with our office the location of your appointment.
Appointments
New and existing patients have the option to visit with their provider via telemedicine (video chat) or telephone, if video is not an option. We are still seeing appointments in person, as appropriate. We kindly ask that you attend the appointment alone unless you need assistance. Know that if a spouse or family member does accompany you, they will be asked to stay in the lobby. Our staff is taking the necessary precautions and wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in patient areas, sanitizing rooms before and after patients and practicing hand hygiene frequently. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to provider masks to our patients. We do not require you to wear a mask but recommend covering with a mask or scarf, if possible. We ask if you are experiencing any symptoms, have traveled or been exposed to Covid-19, to please stay home.
Surgery
For surgical patients, BSWH Lakeway has temporarily closed various entrances to the facility. Follow the signage directing you to the open entrance. Upon arrival you will be screened by a BSWH employee following CDC guidelines checking for respiratory illnesses. At this time, visitors are restricted from entering the hospital but this limitation may be re-evaluated depending on the surgical procedure. If a visitor is permitted, they will also undergo Covid-19 screening. Visitors answering yes to any of the screening questions will not be permitted into the hospital.
Please call our office if you have any questions or concerns regarding any upcoming appointments or surgeries. We will continue to provide updates as changes are made. You can find additional information on our Covid-19 response at BSWHealth.com/Covid19
We know these unknown times are scary. We encourage you, when speaking with our staff, to remain calm. We are doing our best to continue providing great care!
