You can't dim the lights on your pain without also dimming the lights on your joy. 🕯️🌑
Our nervous system doesn't have a "favorites" folder. When we suppress the "heavy" emotions like anger or grief to stay "safe," we accidentally numb our capacity for the "light" ones, too. You end up living in a gray, flat world where happiness feels like a concept you remember rather than a feeling you experience.
