Mai X. Duong, MD, pediatrician at ARC Southwest swapped out her stethoscope for a storybook at the BookSpring festival on May 3, 2025. Dr. Duong spent the afternoon reading to kids and even gave out ARC goodies to festival attendees!

BookSpring offers Continuum of Literacy Programs designed to reach children from birth through the age of 12 by building an active and supportive community of readers.

Hepatitis B and hepatitis C are both viral infections that cause liver inflammation, but they differ in their modes of transmission, treatment, and potential outcomes.

Hepatitis B is transmitted through contact with infected blood or bodily fluids, while Hepatitis C is primarily transmitted through blood contact, particularly through sharing needles or blood transfusions before 1992.

Treatment or cure?
💛 Hepatitis C: Cure. There is no vaccine for hepatitis C, but there are medicines that work well to get rid of it.
❤️ Hepatitis B: Treatment. There is a vaccine for hepatitis B that works well but you can't get rid of it completely.
