Today starts the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur. It’s all about the practice of teshuva - repentance. An invitation to evaluate our actions over the past year, and think about how we can improve, learn from our experiences and grow to our potential.

It’s about rediscovering your true essence, your eternally good and pure soul and how it needs you to lead your life. It’s not about feeling guilt or blaming yourself for your failings. It is about looking at where you are in life, compared to where you have the potential to be, and seeking to course correct.

Last week I suffered a sports injury….

My knee twisted during a game of kickball and I immediately fell to the ground

I couldn’t walk and was saying to myself…”WHY ME”….”WHY NOW” ⁉️

I knew this would be a setback in my fitness journey and everyday life and I felt pretty useless

That’s when I realized I needed to do some SELF-REFLECTION ✨

Every minor setback paves the way for a MAJOR COMEBACK

I had to remind myself that this is all part of the process 🙏🏻

Rather than focusing my energy on something I can’t change, I choose to control the controllables.

I choose to take it day-by-day and comeback even stronger.
