General information
A non-profit corporation founded by Joan Hardy in response to the need of families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer. Seeing first hand the devastation to families of children undergoing treatment for cancer and after learning her own granddaughter, Lauren Small, was diagnosed with cancer. SMF grants up to $1,000.00 per family (with a 24 to 48 hour response) for the daily needs that they struggle to meet. Rent, utilities, car payments or repair, groceries, medical expenses and many other unexpected expenses. Due to an all volunteer board and minimal overhead, SMF is most proud that in excess of 97% of donations received are used for the benifit of families.
