🚀 The Spayship has landed! 🐾

Today at SOCKS, our crew successfully performed spay and neuter surgeries on 45 cats — an amazing first mission! 💫

One of the biggest highlights? We were able to reunite a lost kitty with their family, all thanks to a microchip🐱🔍
A powerful reminder of how something so small can make such a big difference!

First days are always a bit tricky, but with the help of our stellar team and the incredible community that showed up, we now have the blueprint for an even smoother mission next time 🌌

A huge thank you to SOCKS for giving us such an incredible opportunity. We’re beyond grateful — and we can’t wait to do it again! 💚💚

Our team will be at Santa Rosa County Animal Services spaying/neutering community cats on June 5th! ♥️🐈🐈‍⬛♥️

📢🐱 Our next Community Cat Day will be on Thursday, June 5! 🐾
⁣
**We will have a 45 cat limit this time**
► Traps will be available at our shelter Monday, June 2, at 11:30 a.m.
► Cats must be dropped off here on Thursday, June 5, at 8 a.m.
► Cat pickup will be from 9 to 10 a.m. the following day.
⁣
Cats will be selected based on health, size, and priority in line so feel free to arrive earlier than 8 a.m. to secure your Community Cats' spot!
Please be patient with our staff and the other participants since this is a community event.
⁣
Cats will be accepted in humane cat traps ONLY (no carriers or kennels allowed). This is for the safety of the cat, our shelter staff, and surgical team. Traps will be covered at all times, except for a few moments during the check-in process.
⁣
PLEASE do not trap cats more than 24 hours prior to the event. Malnourishment and higher stress levels can greatly impact their health and possible resilience during surgery and recovery. Use only appropriately sized traps and please ensure all traps are covered to further reduce the cat’s stress levels.

We’re on the road for the next few weeks!

We are in Jacksonville Beach working with The Caffeinated Cat and Mayport Cats trying to keep up with kitten season!

If you’d like to book a ride on the Spayship for your pet or community cat in Jacksonville, please follow the link!

For pet cats, it’s $100(with or without rabies vaccine).

For the community/feral package, it’s $80. This includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, fvrcp vaccine, a dose of senergy, and ear tip. For this package, a raccoon sized humane live trap is required.

Minimum age of 8 weeks or 2 lbs.
