Flush Toxins

Your body is not a toilet.
It does not need to be flushed.

Everywhere you look, toxins are the culprit.
Unnamed toxins.
Your anxiety fills in the blank.

Chemicals?
Roundup?
Drugs?
Antibiotics?
Plastic?
Microplastics?
Parasites?
Radiation?

A toxin is a poison.
A remedy is a poison/toxin given in the right dose.

Most drugs are poisons.
Active constituents in plants are often poisons.
Poisons heal.
Toxins are useful.

Caffeine is a toxin.
Beloved by over two billion of us.
A helpful poison.
An antioxidant.

Clears the mind.
Aids focus.
Hydrates better than water.

Does not stay long in your body.
The cuppa you drink is mostly gone within four hours.

That's true of most poisons, most toxins.
They are naturally removed.
Because your body is self-cleansing.

Drugs have a half-life.
No drug stays in your body forever.
No need to cleanse out the antibiotics you took previously.
They are long gone.

"The definition of elimination half-life is the length of time required for the concentration of a particular substance (typically a drug) to decrease to half of its starting dose in the body. In most cases, 90% of a given drug will have undergone elimination after approximately 3.3 half-lives. And 94 to 97% of a drug will have been eliminated after 4 to 5 half-lives."

> Diuretic blood pressure drug half-life = 20 minutes (gone in 2 hours) [5x20=100]
> Penicillin half-life = 1.4 hours (gone in 7 hours) [5x1.4=7]
> Tylenol half-life = 1.25-3 hours (gone in 15 hours) [5x3=15]
> Statin half-life = 77 hours (gone in 2 weeks). [5x77=385hours=16days]
> Thyroxine half-life = 7 days (gone in a month) [5x7=35]

Cleansing does not remove drugs previously taken.
And if it removes drugs you are currently taking, uh oh.
That's a problem.

The liver eliminates drugs.
And the liver is not a toilet.
It doesn't store toxins.
It does not need a flush.
Ever.

The liver doesn't store toxins.
It eliminates them.
Every drop of blood in your body flows through your liver every hour.

The liver grabs toxins — mostly metabolic waste —
and sends them to the kidneys to be
Uh
Flushed down the toilet?
Or at least
Pi**ed out.

Cleansing the liver reduces its ability to function well.
Flushing the liver damages it.
Liver cleanses increase the "toxic load" on your body.

Dandelion is happy to nourish your liver.
Any part.
Picked any day.
Prepared in any way.
Taken in any dose.

> Nourishing removes more unneeded poisons than cleansing.

> A highly-mineralized body refuses to absorb heavy metals.
Seaweed consumption removes any already there.

> You are unlikely to have parasites.
And if you do, you will be acutely aware of the infestation.

> No known cleanse can remove microplastics.
"Currently, there is no manner to remove microplastics from the human body. Furthermore, there are no accurate tests for levels of microplastics in the human body."
Nourishing herbal infusions probably can
Polyphenols are being used to remediate microplastics in the environment.
Nourishing herbal infusions are rich in polyphenols.

Forget flushing toxins away.
Nourish health/wholeness/holiness.
Nourish your mitochondria.
It's the Wise Woman Way.

It is in beauty
Breathing in a giveaway dance with the plants.
Beating as one with the heartbeat of the earth.
Surrounded by green blessings
Gratitude
Joy

This gorgeous old farmstead was built by the Upton family, between 1824-1850. High up in the northern Vermont mountains, it’s a wonder that people thrived here and built a community. The history at this homestead is palpable. I love learning about Benjamin Upton (1799-1899)! and his wife Betsey and the family that they grew here, James, Harvey and Mahala, the pain and sorrow of losing children and the unspoken mistreatment of Olive Upton and many others in the state who lived through the mental institution era of that time period. Secrets finally unburied help tell the story of what it was like to live in this region in a budding country full of optimism and hope. These Irish immigrants felt like they were at home with the rain, mossy, rocky fields and rough terrain. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live without all this technology and advancement and some aspects of their lives were more advanced than ours. Living in this home, with insane weather, friendly neighbors, no cell service plus spotty Internet and no big box stores within an hour, I’ve learned so much and really loved setting my own pace for life. In today’s big wide world it’s hard to slow down, stop and actually breathe.
