College decisions feel big…
and anxiety gets loud fast. Right?

“What if I choose wrong?”
“What if I miss something better?”
“What if this decision affects everything?”

And I don’t know about you, but when anxiety gets loud… it starts leading.

Faster thinking.
More pressure.
More second-guessing.

But this morning’s Prayer Card System™ reminder was simple:

God is peace.

And if God is peace…

chaos doesn’t get to lead my decisions.

That doesn’t mean everything is instantly clear.

But it does mean I don’t have to rush.
I don’t have to panic.
I don’t have to carry the weight like it all depends on me.

Just 10 minutes a day, maybe starting with who God is, changes how I walk into decisions like this.

If you’re building your Prayer Card System along with us, this would be a powerful card to add today:

“God is peace.
Chaos doesn’t get to lead my decisions.”

And if you want to see how much is sitting in your mind right now, start with the Prayer Card Inventory Checklist. https://staceywaller.com/prayer-inventory-checklist

It’s one simple step toward clarity.

Are you carrying things that were never meant to stay in your hands?

Sound familiar? Sometimes I rehearse my worries. I rotate them around in my mind. I manage them… and then I wonder why I’m so tired. 🙃

There’s a simple verse that reminds me:

"Cast your cares on God, and He will sustain you."

Not instantly fixed. Not erased. But sustained.

When I actually name what I’m holding (write it down, see it, admit it) it becomes lighter inside. One step closer to handing it over to Him.

We’re not overwhelmed because life is too much…
we’re overwhelmed because we’re holding what we’re meant to release.

If you want my Prayer Inventory Checklist to help you see what you’re carrying and release it, comment “CHECKLIST” and I’ll send it to you! 🤍

Before your daughter leaves for college…
there’s one thing she needs more than confidence.

When she leaves home there'll be

New people.
New decisions.
New pressures.

And one of the most powerful things she can carry into that season…

isn’t something she packs.

It’s knowing her mom is praying for her.

Not just “God bless her.”

But specific prayers.

For her purpose.
Her decisions.
Her fears.
Her future.

Because when a daughter knows someone who loves her is going to God on her behalf…

it changes how she walks into the world.

And for moms, let’s be honest.

The desire is there.

But life gets full.

And consistency is the hard part.

That’s why I created The Prayer Card System.

A simple way to organize your entire prayer life in about 10 minutes a day. So the most important things don’t get lost.

What if the thing you’re trying hardest to fix… is the thing protecting you?

We’re trained to be self-sufficient.

Handle it.
Figure it out.
Don’t need too much.

And I don’t know about you, but I’m good at that… until something exposes a need I can’t fix.

A relationship tension.
A financial stretch.
A child I can’t control.
A health issue that won’t move.

And suddenly I’m confronted with limits.

Which I don’t love, right?

But what if difficulty is protection?

Protection from believing I’m the source.
Protection from the pressure of holding everything together.
Protection from drifting into quiet self-reliance.

The world celebrates independence.

But dependence produces depth.

Sometimes the hard thing isn’t punishment.

It’s helping me reset my perspective.

If this resonates, I talk about practical, real-life faith like this regularly.

And if you want a simple starting place, comment “Checklist” and I’ll send you the Prayer Inventory Checklist. It helps you see what you’re carrying and put it where it belongs.

You don’t have to hold it all.

Ever said the wrong thing… and replayed it and regretted it later? Can you relate?

There’s a proverb that says, “Careless words pierce like a sword…” and that’s uncomfortably accurate, right?

When someone is grieving or overwhelmed, we feel pressure to say something meaningful.

I don’t know about you, but when I feel awkward, I start filling space. That’s happened more than I’d like to admit. 🙄

We explain.
We fix.
We try to make it better.

And sometimes it just adds weight, right?

That’s why one of my prayer cards is a reminder that’s super simple.

If someone is going through grief:

“I love you.
I care about you.
I’m sorry.
I’m praying for you.”

No fixing.
No explaining.
No over-talking.

Just healing words.

If this is helpful, I’ll keep posting simple, practical ideas you can add to your own prayer cards… ways to show up wisely in real-life situations.

If you’d like a structured way to build these into your daily rhythm, you can start with First Five. Real Relief. It’s a simple way to begin. Just comment 5 and I’ll send it along.

And if someone comes to mind who could use steadier words right now… send this to them. You could even start building prayer cards together.

Sometimes wisdom is fewer words, not more. Right?

Constant change is exhausting.
Even when you’re handling it well.

Life feels steady here.
But not everything in life is.

Plans change.
Health shifts.
People surprise us.
What felt certain last year doesn’t always feel certain now.

And constant change is exhausting.

Today’s Attribute of God card was simple:

God is steady and unchanging.

Not reactive.
Not scrambling.
Not adjusting to new information.

When everything around me feels uncertain, I’m reminded that I’m not anchoring to circumstances. I’m anchoring to Someone who doesn’t move.

I don’t have to know what’s next.
I just have to do the faithful thing in front of me.

If life has felt unstable lately, this might be the card you sit with today.

If you’d like the first five prayer cards, including one of the Attribute of God cards. Just comment “5” and I’ll send them to you.

Start small. Steady is built over time.

Praying for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s often the part we skip the most.

Most capable, responsible people are great at praying for others…
but hesitate when it comes to praying for their own gifts, talents, or calling.

Especially things like:
• teaching
• speaking
• explaining truth patiently
• shaping others through words or leadership

But here’s the shift that changed things for me:

If something has been entrusted to you, it deserves care.

One simple question I’ve been sitting with is:
What truth do I explain clearly and patiently?

And a simple daily prayer:
Help me teach with clarity, patience, and understanding today.

This isn’t about performance.
It’s not about promotion.
It’s about showing up grounded for the responsibility you already carry.

This reflection is part of the Prayer Card System — a simple, structured way to pray daily without pressure or guilt.

Behind the scenes today - post production for the Prayer Card System video course.

This is my son giving me honest feedback on the footage… pacing, clarity, tone, what lands and what doesn’t. He’s a professional director and producer, so I listen closely.

What I love most about this moment isn’t just the quality of the videos (though that matters).
It’s the care behind them.

This system has been part of my life for decades.
These teachings are meant to bring steadiness, not pressure.
Clarity, not overwhelm.

So we’re taking our time. Refining. Making sure what you’ll experience feels calm, grounded, and easy to follow.

If you’ve ever wanted a simple way to organize your prayer life - without guilt or perfection - there are new Prayer Card System resources coming soon.

This part matters to me.
And I’m glad you’re here for it.

I created the Prayer Card System over 45 years ago.

Long before workshops.
Before books.
Before cameras.

Just index cards… and simple 10 minutes a day.

People keep asking about it - so I’m filming it.
The director?
My son.

I didn’t hire him just because he’s talented (he is).
I hired him because he’s living proof of what this system produces.

I’ve prayed for him using this system since before he was born.
Through seasons I could control… and seasons I couldn’t.

This is what consistent prayer over decades looks like.

Not hype.
Not shortcuts.
Just a simple structure that keeps you showing up.

If you’ve ever wondered whether prayer actually makes a difference…
This is one of my answers.

If you’re in the area, I’ll be teaching it live in February. If you’d like to be the first notified, comment HB below!

She just finished reading it cover to cover.
She’s known me through it all -

The long walks on Balboa Island…
The tears over coffee…
The years of writing, editing, and having a deep calling knowing this book would speak to the right hearts.

Her favorite part?
“Bitterness. Because some people never move on - even after 3 or 4 marriages.”

She’s right - that’s what keeps people stuck.

“You give them actual tools!” Yup.

Then she said…
“I know at least two people I need to give this to.”

That’s when I realized…
This book isn’t just a read - it’s a rescue.
