Gratitude 🙏🏾, I am blessed to serve birthing persons and particularly to be a BIPOC doula.
As I evolve personally and professionally I am stepping outside of myself, my comfort zone, my fear of public speaking, social anxiety. I challenge myself and take baby steps to become more aligned with my purpose and passion- Birth work! The journey continues…

Thank you to Tiffany Cusaac for your interview and featuring me in your article . You brought much needed light to the importance of Black maternal health and the work of Black doulas on Long Island.

Baby carrying has been around for thousands of years worldwide 🌎 for a reason. It’s beneficial to both the caregiver and the baby! 👶🏼👶🏽👶🏻👶🏾

Below ⬇️ are some tips:

T — Tight. The sling or carrier you use should be tight enough to keep your baby close to you.
I — In view at all times. You should be able to see your baby's face by glancing down and without having to move the fabric.
C — Close enough to kiss. Your baby's head should be as close to your chin as possible.
K — Keep chin off chest. You should be able to fit at least a finger between your baby's chin and chest.
S — Supported back. Your baby's back should be supported so that they are not slumped or curled into a C shape.
