I had a wonderful time over the weekend talking about purpose with the good folks in the Green Leadership Trust's Cecil Corbin Marks Vanguard Leadership program fellows program in Washington, DC.

This fireside chat was led by my dear friend and colleague, Dr. Adrienne Hollis, who walked us through the book by asking soulful questions about themes that seemed to be on people's minds: What do you mean when you write that sometimes hope is hard to come by? Why THIS book, why NOW? And so much more. (Admittedly, these are the only questions i recall as i am writing this).

During the conversation and as i reflected more on it, i deeply appreciated the space that was created for those working on environmental and climate justice to see themselves in this work. I noticed flickers in folks eyes in moments of resonance.
