In May 2023, we competed at the Student Venture Showcase hosted by the Carey Business School and we took 1st place overall. This helped us further refine our pitching skills.

In March 2023, we competed at the Stu Clark New Venture Championships at the University of Manitoba.

We were grateful to take 1st in the Graduate Business Plan category and also 1st place for our Elevator Pitch.

Highlighting some of our past startup and business plan competition wins!

In December 2022, we began journey with Fall Demo Day hosted by FastForwardU and were awarded Grand Prize for our pitch. This funding gave us the momentum to continue with our startup.

We were very appreciative of everyone who came out to support us!

All 8 teams that presented at the Carey Business School Student Venture Showcase last Friday were FFU Alum. We want to congratulate all the teams that participated which include NovvaCup, TheImpactStylist™, CurveAssure Spine, Eden Therapeutics, SomnOSA, OnPoint Ventilation, MedSetGo and Tastee Tape. A special congratulations to 1st place winner CurveAssure Spine, 2nd place winner Tastee Tape, and Audience Choice winner SomnOSA!

This past semester, CurveAssure took part in the Johns Hopkins FastForward U (FFU) Fuel Accelerator. The team made strong connections with great industry mentors, and learned so much from the regular workshops and guest speakers!

At the end of the semester, the team presented at Demo Day and competed against 8 of the top up-and-coming start-ups in the Johns Hopkins upper-level student accelerator. Our novel spinal monitor designs and innovative business strategy were awarded the grand prize!

A recent CurveAssure-led initiative has finished packaging over 1000 customized medical kits that will be shipped over to support Ukrainian refugees and citizens near areas of war. Last year, after hearing about the devastating bombing of hospitals in Ukraine, the team worked to brainstorm and execute a plan to aid Ukraine. After months of needs finding by interviewing refugees, on-ground physicians, and humanitarian experts, they found a gap to mitigate stress on hospital systems by creating customized, civilian medical kits. Kits were designed with the help of JHU physicians and Ukrainian allies and will be shipped over in the next 2-3 weeks. Special thank you to the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design for providing funding to make this possible!
