Remington Row

Remington Row

Hello neighbors, I am moving out over the next week, and I have a decent quality furniture set - 2-person couch, matching chair, and ottoman for sale. I will happily unload it (and even help move it) for best offer. I am doing the bulk of my moving Saturday, but have this apartment until next Wednesday, so please FB message me if you are interested. -Gabe
Hey Re*****on Row residents! Guardian Angel would love your help turning the overgrown and blighted Fox street alley, next to our building and right outside your south-facing windows, into a native-plant-planted, pleasant, intentional green space.

Guardian Angel is a welcoming and affirming, service-oriented, Episcopal Church. Our Kromer Hall, at 335 w 27th street directly next to this alley, serves as Re*****on's main community center, hosting public events, a thrift store, a food pantry, community dinners, GRIA meetings, and more.
Could you please muffle the sound of your vent to a more residential sound level of 50db or lower?
It's a bit nuts, not to mention against MD state legislature, to have a vent right across a row of houses that has a peak sound level of 96db and an average of 91db.

Amazing 1 and 2 bedroom apartments now open in the heart of Re*****on. Enjoy pet friendly living with an elevated courtyard and FREE parking!

Operating as usual

As you might have noticed, there is a new bus stop on the west side of Remington Ave, right in front of Remington Row.

How this will impact parking: There is NO PARKING from the sign closest to the leasing office door north on Remington Ave to the 28th Street corner. This area from the sign north on Remington Ave to the corner is reserved 24 hours a day for Baltimore City buses.

Prior to the bus stop relocation, riders with mobility concerns had to disembark by Pizza Bolis at a non-ADA compliant intersection. This new bus stop in front of Remington Row will allow them safer passage to their doctor at JHCP and easier access to other spots in Remington. We are working to get additional signage in place so the parking restrictions are more clear but be advised that you should not park in front of Mend, RiteAid or Balance on Remington Ave.

For additional questions or concerns about parking or to contribute to the conversation about MTA locations please participate in a GRIA community meeting. Thank you for your patience as these updates occur in our neighborhood and throughout Baltimore City with MTA.

Christmas Tree Mulching and Recycling

As the time comes to take down the holiday decorations, be sure you do so in a mindful and respectful way. Please see the link below for information on how to dispose of your Christmas tree: The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) today announced that residents will be able to recycle their Christmas tree by turning it into mulch beginning January 6.

What a great way to get involved in our wonderful neighborhood!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our wonderful residents. We are so grateful for you!

Happy (almost!) Thanksgiving! We have a few items to share with you:

1. Travel Plans
We know many of you will be traveling out of Baltimore to see your families and we wish you a safe flight / drive / ferry / train / etc. Be sure to turn off the lights in your apartment and check your thermostat prior to your departure. These steps will help you to save money and conserve energy.

2. Concierge Schedule
So that our concierge team will be able to spend time with their families over the holiday, we will not have someone at the desk on Thursday or Friday. Please make a note of this if you are expecting guests or deliveries these two days.

3. Hand Turkeys!
Do this little guy look familiar? Maybe you're having a flash back to elementary school? Well we're giving you the chance to make your own Hand Turkey on the glass by the concierge desk. The markers are on the desk, just draw your hand and decorate it any way you like. This is something fun to do while you're waiting on the elevator, the Uber driver or your food delivery. Last year we really enjoyed seeing your creativity and we know you'll bring your crafty skills back this year!

[11/03/17]   Balance- The Salon in Remington Row is in need of a shampoo tech/stylists assistant to help our services go smoothly for both clients and stylists. You must be able to make clients comfortable, follow detailed instructions from stylists, manage time (schedules) and multitask. Experience is preferred but not necessary. We currently need about 24- 32 hours per week.
Please email resumes to: [email protected]

Congrats to our awesome winners from the pumpkin carving contest! You guys are so creative and we love the Halloween spirit!

"It [has] prepared them to say, 'I could open up my own restaurant in the future," says chef Natasha Blake-McDowell. "'If I did this in the twelfth grade, imagine what I can do two or three years from now. Sometimes our students don't think beyond Mergenthaler high school, and I wanted them to get the opportunity to see what can happen when you allow your mind to open and be creative."
