Healing The Scars

I wrote something......
I don't think that I wrote a poem,
I just wrote how I randomly felt a few moments ago
and for some reason I felt thankful and appreciative.
Here's what I wrote.....
Testing My Scars

I thank you for testing my scars,
I thank you for showing me that I haven't healed yet,
I thank you for showing me that my inner child is still hurting,
still feeling abandoned,
still alone,
still curled up in a corner
crying silently in the dark,
still thinking to himself.....
if I was big enough.....
fast enough.....
strong and smart enough to hurt what hurt me.....
I can be finally be safe and happy again.
I thank you for showing me that I never grew from that feeling or that thought process and until I heal and grow, I will always go back to that abandoned inner me in times of extreme or triggered emotions.
I thank you for showing me that I have to go back and heal myself.
Thank you for showing me why I'm the way that I am,
I'm scarred and you tested every one.
