POSTPONED: A Celebration of Life for Chaplain/Father Skip

Dear Friends –

Due to the potentially challenging situation that may be caused by the weather this weekend, we have chosen to postpone the Celebration of Life to honor Chaplain/Father Skip. We hope that this new date will bode for better weather, and with sufficient notice, will allow many of you who would not have been able to participate to do so.

The NEW date will be Sunday, March 13, at the Enoch Pratt Parish hall of the First Unitarian Church of Baltimore at 514 North Charles Street in Baltimore, 21201. The doors will open at 3:30 pm, and we will begin promptly at 4 pm.

If you were planned to be a participant in the Celebration, we truly appreciate your support, and hope you will be available for the new date. We will be reaching out in the coming days to confirm your participation.

PLEASE be sure to put this date on your calendars now. We will be reaching out closer to the date to request RSVP’s.

For information or to RSVP, please contact me or IFCMD at info@ifcmd.org or (443) 478-9896.

Sincerely –
Bill Redmond-Palmer
Program Coordinator

Friday, Sept 18 is National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day. Let's honor those living with and growing older with HIV and AIDS and keep moving forward to raise awareness and end stigma. This fight is far from over, but it is getting better. -- Positivelyjeffrey and Jeffrey Newman

"The study, published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, reports that the greatest barriers to bisexual, gay and q***r teen males in getting tested are: not knowing where to go to get an HIV test, fears about being recognized at a testing site and, to a lesser degree, having an unrealistic sense of the chances they'll become infected."

Why wouldn't they know where to get tested? Aren't healthcare providers offering tests routinely to their adolescent patients, as the CDC recommended NEARLY 10 YEARS AGO?

And it's not because they think they are invincible.
