I celebrated World Doula Week the best way I know how…. With 4 birthday parties!! Babies decided that NOW was the time and it was a beautiful week to meet these sweet families changing their lives. I’m grateful and thankful!

I say this repeatedly, probably once a week, at least. Information is great- but what will you do with the information once you have it? Get • I’m not saying do or don’t. I’m just saying don’t put too much pressure on yourself or your body if you do.

Cervical exams in pregnancy are important for induction. Beyond that, it’s really just for curiosity. It does not predict when labor will start.

It’s okay to be curious. It’s okay to want to know. Just go into it with the knowledge that your body is doing things you can’t feel or measure to prep for labor. Things ARE happening even if it doesn’t seem like it.

Birth is a mystery. We still don’t know how or why labor starts when it does. I know it’s hard to live with uncertainty but that part of the surrender.
