Workshop Recap: Boundaries – Release the Weight of the World

On Tuesday evening, a powerful group of high-achieving women gathered—not to perform, not to perfect—but to pause.
Together, we created a sacred, Spirit-led space for reflection, truth-telling, and emotional release.
We talked boundaries.
We talked burnout.
And we talked about the soul cost of always showing up for others while silently shrinking ourselves.

Here’s what we uncovered:
Boundaries were never modeled for many of us—especially as women, and especially as leaders.
We were taught to avoid confrontation, put ourselves last, and serve without limits—even to our own detriment.
Over functioning was praised, but it left us emotionally depleted and spiritually disconnected.
We asked, “What would it feel like to release the heaviest weight?”
And even over Zoom—you could see and feel the shift.

What they walked away with:
*A new awareness of how trauma, culture, and survival mode shape our boundary patterns
*Permission to set internal and external boundaries—without guilt
*A two-week commitment to set one soul-honoring boundary
*And the power to finally say, “no" in their own voice.
*They didn't need permission to rest.

The women who joined me said they felt safe. Seen. Clear.
They left lighter, more anchored, and ready to take the next step.
If you’re a high-achieving woman who struggles with boundaries in your relationships, your career, or even with yourself—
You’re not alone.
And I’d love to walk with you through it.

✨ Upcoming Free Virtual Workshop: Boundaries – Release the Weight of the World

You say yes...
Because you don’t want to seem rude.
Because you don’t want to disappoint anyone.
Because you were raised to be helpful.
Because you care what people think.

But behind that yes is a silent “no.”
A rising frustration.
A deep ache that says:
“I’m tired of being everything to everyone… and nothing to myself.”

If you’ve ever:
❌ Felt guilty saying no—even to things that drain you
❌ Said yes out of fear of judgment or rejection
❌ Felt like you needed permission to rest or go to the doctor
❌ Looked around and realized the people you love get your leftovers...
This workshop is for you.

đź’› Boundaries: Release the Weight of the World
A healing space for high-achieving women ready to stop overfunctioning, reclaim their time, and protect their peace—without guilt.

We’ll talk about:
✅ Why it’s so hard to say no (and where that belief began)
✅ How people-pleasing and perfectionism are trauma responses
✅ Practical ways to set boundaries that honor your soul
✅ How to release the guilt and finally put you on your calendar

I’ve always had a deep passion for mental health and emotional wellness—and in 2021, that passion became purpose when I founded Honoring The Whole You, LLC, a wellness company rooted in faith, healing, and wholeness.

We began with a vision to serve women through transformative education, launching our first initiative with a women’s wellness series. Since then, Honoring The Whole You has continued to grow—and we’re currently expanding in exciting new ways (more details coming soon!).

As this business evolves, one thing remains non-negotiable: Godly principles are the foundation. I’m committed to building something that not only thrives but honors the One who called me to it. That’s why when I learned that Rebekah DeAndra JD was hosting The Strategy Summit, I knew I had to be in the room.

Let me tell you—it did not disappoint.

Session One helped us clarify what God is instructing in this season.
Session Two offered insight into the science of strategic prayer (yes, there’s a science!).
Session Three broke down marketing in a way that was practical, powerful, and purpose-driven.
And Session Four gave real tools for raising capital to fund the vision.

The Strategy Summit gave me clarity, courage, and concrete next steps. It was the exactly what I needed—and I’m already looking forward to the next one.

If you're a faith-led entrepreneur who’s building something bigger than yourself, keep your eyes open. Moments like this as can shift everything.

I was chatting with a friend in education, and we were both talking about the shift from summer brain to work brain.

That conversation had me thinking:
Boundaries are what make that shift possible.

Not just time boundaries—but emotional, mental, and spiritual ones too.

As high-achieving women, part of our healing from emotional overwhelm and past pain means learning how to set boundaries that protect our peace.

Knowing when to mentally unplug
Knowing when to emotionally invest—or divest
Knowing when to put yourself on the schedule
And when to take others off

Boundaries aren’t walls. They’re wisdom.
And as we head into this next season, I want to help you walk in that kind of clarity.

Workshop Recap: Performing While Numb — The Cost of Being “The Strong One”

Last week’s workshop was powerful.
High-achieving women gathered in a safe space to explore the true cost of being “the strong one.” We unmasked the emotional burnout hiding behind polished professionalism—and the truth hit home for so many.

Together, we unpacked:
The link between childhood trauma, approval-seeking, and performance-based living
The hidden emotional cost of wearing the mask: “fixer,” “well put together,” “positive one”
How burnout shows up as racing thought, numbness, anxiety, spiritual and mental exhaustion, and self-doubt,
And the deep soul cry behind it all: “I need a safe space and community to share with people who understand.”

One of the most powerful moments? When we asked:“What role are you performing to survive?”The Fixer. The Motivator. The Overdoer.
And then: “What is it costing your soul to keep performing?”
We closed with a release—naming the roles we’re letting go of and choosing healing instead.

Participants were grateful for the safe space and one said “I needed to say this out loud.”

Work and wellness are not separate—they’re deeply connected.

I was reminded of this truth two weekends ago when I had the opportunity to serve as a grief group facilitator. I was contracted as a lead facilitator with a minister as co-facilitator for 12 groups: two in person at a wellness retreat, and ten virtually.

Without sharing too many details, I’ll just say during the all expense paid retreat —I worked, I rested, I retreated, and I ate some of the best fresh, organic food I’ve ever had. It was soul-nourishing in every way.

A word to the wise: Serve your church with joy, as unto the Lord. You never know how those experiences—offered in love—will be counted as preparation for future opportunities to serve and lead others.
