With all my running around this month my purse needed a spring cleaning. OMG, now I know where all my pens went and why it was getting heavy.

What do you find weighting your purse down? Or for those that don't carry a purse, what do you find weighting your pockets down at the end of the day?

If you are waiting for the first of the year for your motivation and mindset to kick in to eat healthier, you will have a rude awakening the second week of Jan.

Setting goals and preparing will set you up for success.

Most will take the deep plunge and cut out all the bad stuff. While we hear this with smokers, a person addicted to sugar also goes through withdrawal. Headaches, fatigue, irritability. Is that the way to start the new year?

The alternative would be to have a plan where you ease off the bad foods and create a habit that will last.

Here is a plan:
1. Decide what you are NOT going to eat in the 1st 2 weeks, weeks 3 & 4, and continue. Continue eliminating. Clean out your pantry of items that are not nutritional and/or outdated.

2. Plan out your meals & snacks then create your shopping list. There are lots of recipes online.

3. Set times up for when you will prepare meals if you are out of the house during the day.

Keep a journal of your progress.

Did you know that you can hack your hormones to produce the ones you really need the most? I have a lot of love in my life from playing with Zoey and Abby! Plenty of Oxytocin for sure. I think the Eating Food to increase Dopamine isn't always the best plan for me though! Which of these do you need more of?

I Feel Better Now Than I Felt at 30!

I participated in my first women’s Duathlon in Philadelphia at the age of 50. I worked out with long bike rides and running for months. I thought I was in the best shape of my life.

Little did I know that I wasn’t nourishing my body with enough protein and other nutrients.

It was about 9 years later when I found a nutritional program that not only detoxed my body but maintained and built much-needed muscle, increased my energy level and had me getting a night of restful sleep.

This got me more interested in health and specifically staying healthy. Our bodies were built to heal ourselves, so why were so many people on medication, having chronic pain & inflammation, and dis-ease?
