Spent a day on Capitol Hill advocating for issues in the field of speech-language pathology and audiology 🗣👂🏽❤️ at the day before in Washington D.C.

Had the chance to meet with staffers from the offices of Senator Chris Van Hollen and Senator Angela Alsobrooks, and staffers from the offices of Congressman Kweisi Mfume and Congressman Jamie Raskin. Thank you for serving Maryland!

Our group of speech-language pathologists (students and practicing) and audiologists advocated for:
🎯 Repealing Harmful Medicaid Funding Cuts and Program Changes
🎯 Fully funding IDEA and protecting against the dismantling of the United States Department of Education
🎯Congress Supporting Legislation to Improve Access to Public Service Loan Forgiveness
🎯Congress Improving Medicare Beneficiary Access to Audiology Services
🎯Congress Protecting Newborn Hearing Screening Programs
