👑 The Smoothie Queen is back with a festive favorite…

Healthy Shamrock Shake 💚
Creamy, refreshing, packed with protein—and yes… actually good for you.

🍀 Ingredients
1 cup milk of choice
or ¾ cup water + ½ cup cottage cheese (for an extra protein boost 💪)
1 slice avocado
1 cup baby spinach
2 scoops vanilla protein powder*
1 tbsp pistachios
splash of mint extract ( a little less than 1/8 tsp)
1 tsp honey
Handful of ice

🥤 Directions
Blend until smooth and creamy, and enjoy for flavor and to fuel your body! 💚

Ruby Revival Smoothie
Sometimes the best recipes happen when you look in the fridge and realize a few ingredients have been patiently waiting their turn.
That’s exactly what happened this morning.
I had cooked beets and a pomegranate (left from Christmas) plus a bag of cranberries (I took out of the freezer)… so I decided to turn all that vibrant red goodness into a smoothie.
The result?
A bright, tangy, antioxidant-rich smoothie that feels like a little boost of vitality in a glass. And it hits my 30g protein for breakfast goal too! My taste buds are telling me this one is a keeper.

Ruby Revival Smoothie
INGREDIENTS
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 scoop collagen
3 Tbsp chia seeds
½ cup cooked beets
⅓ cup pomegranate arils
¾ cup cranberries
1 tsp fresh ginger
2 tsp apple pie spice (or cinnamon)
1 sprig fresh rosemary (plus more for garnish)
2 tsp balsamic glaze or honey (or both)
Ice
Water or milk of choice (I used water)
Optional garnish
Extra pomegranate arils
Fresh rosemary sprig

WHY ALL THE RED FOODS?
The vibrant color isn’t just beautiful — it signals powerful plant compounds that support healthy aging.
BEETS
Beets are rich in natural nitrates, which help support blood flow and circulation.
That can help with heart health, endurance, and even brain function.
POMEGRANATE

“Lord, empty me.
Fill me.
Use me.”

These words have been echoing in my mind and heart ever since I heard this simple yet powerful prayer from Mother Olga of the Sacred Heart during the Pray 40 Challenge on the Hallow app this Lent.

Three short lines…
but they hold so much meaning.

The first time I encountered Mother Olga was when she spoke at the National Eucharistic Congress 2024. I remember being deeply struck by her presence — her faith, her strength, and the clarity with which she spoke about belonging completely to Christ.

That witness stayed with me.

So hearing this prayer repeated during the Pray 40 reflections has felt especially powerful.

Empty me.
Empty me of ego, pride, distractions, and the constant pull to control everything.

Fill me.
Fill those spaces with Your grace, Your peace, Your Spirit.

Use me.
Let my life become an instrument of Your love.

Over the past couple of years, the Surrender Novena has become a regular part of my prayer life. “Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything.”

When I heard Mother Olga’s prayer, it felt like a beautiful companion to that same spirit of surrender.

Because before God can truly fill us, we have to allow Him to empty us first.

Lent is such a grace-filled season for that kind of interior work — clearing out what clutters our hearts so there is more room for God to move and transform us.

This little prayer has become something I return to throughout the day.

Lord, empty me.
Fill me.
Use me.

Join me in praying these simple words today.

Grey day.
Lots of computer time.
By late afternoon my brain was voting strongly for nap time.

But instead… I went for a run.

Added bonus: the sun popped out just as I was heading out the door. ☀️

Three miles later… zero regrets.

Here’s the thing about energy:

Sometimes we really do need to rest.

But sometimes that sluggish feeling isn’t a signal to stop —
it’s a signal to move.

Because movement has a funny way of waking everything up:
body, mind… and spirit.
