Get to Know Yoga Neighborhood ~ yoganeighborhood.org

Yoga Neighborhood is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of yoga to the entire Cape Cod community with kindness, compassion and respect for all. Our mission is to make yoga accessible to all regardless of financial resources, physical challenges and mental challenges.

Yoga Neighborhood was created through the hard work of Virginia Hoeck, along with the help of Diane Kovanda and other fellow yoga instructors. Today, the work to extend the organization’s reach to other populations on Cape Cod continues.

The essence of yoga lies in creating a balance between mind and body through the integration of the postures, breathing and meditation with the goals of clarity, personal growth and a positive outlook on life. Instructors for Yoga Neighborhood teach with the intention of bringing people onto the path of yoga, helping them to practice on and off the mat. Yoga Neighborhood keeps yoga affordable for both the general community and particular populations it serves. “We are grateful to all of our partners, donors, teachers and volunteers that all contribute to making Yoga Neighborhood a special organization based in kindness and compassion!”
