🇺🇸✨ On Tuesday afternoon, we were honored to welcome First Light Tulsa and American Legion Post 1 as they hosted a special veteran’s pinning ceremony for our incredible veterans. 💛 It was a moving and memorable time to pay tribute to those who have bravely served our great nation.

After the ceremony, refreshments and fellowship followed—complete with heartfelt conversations and even a few service stories swapped between our veterans and American Legion guests. 🥰

A huge thank-you to First Light Tulsa and American Legion Post 1 for joining us and helping us show appreciation for the men and women who have given so much. 🙏

🎉🎂 We had such a fun time celebrating our September birthdays together! 💛 Residents enjoyed sweet treats, smiles, and each other’s company—especially the refreshing strawberry lemonade crafted by our chef. 🍓🍋✨

September 21 is World Alzheimer’s Day, a time to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with those impacted by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. At Sagora Senior Living, we acknowledge the challenges associated with this disease, not only for those living with it but also for their families and loved ones. Every day, we are committed to providing compassionate support, creating safe and engaging environments, and advancing care practices that enhance quality of life. 🥂 Drinks of choice included rum & cokes, beer, wine, or classic cokes for our non-alcoholic drinkers. 🎶 With music, laughter, and plenty of visiting, it was truly a fun evening together! 🥰

🏐🎈 Thursdays mean balloon volleyball with our wonderful EmpowerMe Wellness partner, Shelly! This week came with an extra challenge in honor of Active Aging Week — recording a cheer! 📣✨
Our residents practiced with Shelly, brought the energy, and we think it turned out AWESOME! 💛 What a fun way to stay active, engaged, and spirited together. 🌟

This September, we recognize Prostate Cancer Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support those affected. Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men, but with regular screenings and conversations about health, early detection can save lives. 💙

🚐✨ Today’s outing took us to the friendly town of Vinta, where we explored the Cherokee Nation Anna Mitchel Cultural Center and the Eastern Trails Museum. Residents enjoyed learning about the area’s rich history and culture before heading to Clanton Café for a hearty homestyle lunch. 🥘💛 Special thanks to our wonderful waitress, Laura, for the excellent service!

One of the best parts of the day was hearing Erlita, one of our residents, share stories from her years living in Vinta — and even reconnecting with an old dear friend who joined us for lunch. 💕

Everywhere we went, we were met with friendly faces, making this trip all the more memorable. Truly a day filled with history, good food, and warm connections. 🌟

🚧 Construction Update 🚧
Our remodel is in full swing! Today’s progress included baseboards being sealed in, fresh paint touch-ups, and the installation of new light fixtures. ✨

We’re especially excited about the clean, modern look of the new chandeliers — they’re really going to brighten up the space and add a touch of elegance to our community. 💛
