💪🏾Women need twice as much iron in their diet as men due to regular blood loss through menstruation 🩸Around 1 in 10 women experience menorrhagia or heavy bleeding, which can make it even harder to maintain good iron levels.

👨🏽‍⚕️Do you usually feel exhausted at that time of the month? If so, it might be worth speaking to your doctor who can check your iron levels with a simple blood test. 🙋🏽‍♂️Do you have a balanced diet? This is very difficult to determine as it is very complex to find out. This is why I’m very specific when it comes to building individual programs based off each individual person! Ofcourse with the new year, every kind of ONLINE program is being thrown to it way and it’s impossible for them to physically do what’s needed, but there are at-LEAST guidelines you know??? Nutritional Guidelines! I don’t care if they are going by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion or My Plate.Gov, but understanding and knowing if your diet is even following Nutritional Guidelines is VITAL for optimal performance.

👨🏽‍⚕️A balanced diet contains the right amount of carbohydrates fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, water, and dietary fiber to make the daily requirements of the body. Every one of us requires DIFFERENT nutrients, and this depends on our lifestyle, activities and age.

‼️This is why your diet for one person may not be a balanced diet for another. Balanced diet provides the energy to survive and stay healthy. Energy is needed to do work while we are awake and to perform activities when we are rest or asleep. The amount of energy needed to carry on vital processes of the body when it is incomplete rest is known as basal metabolism. When metabolism is the chemical reactions that take place within our bodies, the basal metabolic rate is a measure of how fast chemical reactions are occurring when a person and it’s completely arrest for example, the energy required in the beating of the heart basal metabolic rate is affected by climate, body size, age 6 and health of an individual.

Cholesterol Chronicles “Which is Which❓🫀👁️🫁 ❤️

👨🏽‍⚕️If we better understand how things work, I believe that will allow us to make the right choices for our situations❤️

👨🏽‍⚕️The two most in question are High-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL). As a general rule, HDL is considered “good” cholesterol, while LDL is considered “bad.” Which is just a terrible saying that got picked up over years and that was passed down repeatedly, when it should have just been better explained‼️

🔵This is because HDL carries cholesterol to your liver, where it can be removed from your bloodstream before it builds up in your arteries or better said, helps rid your body of excess cholesterol so it’s less likely to end up in your arteries. People who have low HDL have an unhealthy level, but a level that’s too high also isn’t good because it can allow atherosclerosis to progress faster. HDL levels that are too high or low can happen because of other medical issues going🧡🫀🫁

🟠LDL, on the other hand, takes cholesterol directly to your arteries. This can result in atherosclerosis, a plaque buildup that can even cause heart attack and stroke. The LDL makes up most of your body’s cholesterol. High levels of LDL cholesterol raise your risk for heart disease and stroke. Although this is no true consensus how to define low LDL, very low levels may be associated with an increased risk of: Cancer. Hemorrhagic stroke. Depression.
