National Poison Prevention Week.
Kids see gummy medicine like vitamins, and melatonin and think “candy!” But they can be dangerous. Here’s how to help your kids stay safe: Store gummies up, away, and out of sight, preferably in a locked box or cabinet. Never call gummy medicines “candy”. Keep gummies in their original container. Call The Upstate New York Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222. They are here for you with confidential, nonjudgmental, and free expert advice.

Friendly reminder! 🐾 - We regularly have dog and cat food available for the Batavia families we serve at the pantry.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we will be able to keep pet food regularly in stock so families can make sure their furry family members are cared for too.

We also want to give a big shoutout to our friend Gavin, who volunteered with us this past weekend. He spent time helping package bulk pet food we received, making sure everything was labeled and ready to be dispersed to families this week. We’re so grateful for volunteers like Gavin who take time to help their community! 💛

If you are in need of pet food, feel free to send us a message anytime. We don’t place it out at the pantries to avoid messes or attracting pests, but it is always available by request.

Thank you to everyone who supports the work we do, none of this would possible without the support of our community 🐾

There are 2.9 million traumatic brain injury (TBI) related emergency department visits each year in the United States.
