All joking aside…
we never get tired of helping our patients with pelvic floor muscle tension. Pelvic floor tension happens to the best of us especially when dealing with stressful moments.
If you’re having a flair 🆙 after holiday stress, you’re not alone. Pelvic floor muscles respond to stress and anxiety by being overactive. This overactivity can lead:
✅ leaking with coughing, sneezing, jumping, lifting and exercising
✅ p**p 💩 problems like constipation or excessive wiping 👀
✅ feeling like you’re not emptying your bladder or having an itsy bitsy bladder
✅ pelvic pressure or feeling like a tampon inside your va**na
✅ low back pain, yes 95 percent of women with low back pain have a pelvic floor dysfunction
✅ tailbone pain 🍑
✅ pelvic pain during pregnancy 🤰

No one taught us how to engage our deep core correctly. If you’ve been told “brace” or “ belly button to spine” you’re missing it! It’s important to engage all your core muscles and have them coordinating correctly.

Comment CORE 👇🏻 and I’ll send you the tips to get your belly flat and improve your strength postpartum.

I loved step aerobics. I think it brought me back to my 💃 choreography days as a young kiddo. But I’ve always been a pretty active individual - you name it I’ve done it -spin, kickboxing, HIIT workouts, body pump, tennis, softball, yoga, Pilates, Lagree….. but please do not make me 🏃‍♀️ Run.
I do love helping women stay prolapse and leak free while running 🏃‍♀️ it’s just not my personal favorite physical activity.

What is your fav activity?? Comment 👇🏻

2016! This was fun trend. I loved looking back at all my pictures. What a fun and exhausting 10 years it has been. Lots of ups and downs and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Thank you all that have supported me throughout the years. It means so much.

These are a few bad potty 🚽 habits can create or worsen bladder issues and how to fix them :
1. Hovering….
Girl… your quads aren’t the problem — your pelvic floor is. Sit your b***y down (throw some toilet paper on the seat if it helps) and let those muscles chill. A non relaxing pelvic floor can cause you to not empty your bladder fully.

2. Power pushing. We are NOT out here trying to birth our p*e. No straining. Rock those hips, take a deep breath and let it flow. Stop straining your pelvic floor muscles. Too@much staring can cause a pelvic organ like your bladder to@fall into your va**na 😮

Feet up = p*e magic.
Squatty potty. Every time.

3. 🛑 Just in case” p*e.
Stop training your bladder to be dramatic. Wait until you actually have to go. This will keep you from having an “itsy bitsy bladder” and frequent bathroomer.

Save this for the next time you’re in a questionable public bathroom. 👀🚽💁🏼‍♀️ and SHARE with your friend that may hover or power p*e

It began with unbelievable snow days in Louisiana 🙌🏻, real growth and confidence on the tennis court, and meaningful opportunities to serve and speak with the . I was honored to lead workshops at and to be considered a thought leader at — something I don’t take lightly.

On a deeply personal level 🤍, I became an aunt to my brother’s baby and celebrated my sister welcoming her fourth little one. I also cherished celebrating my children — their birthdays, milestones, and accomplishments — moments that ground me more than anything else.

One of my proudest accomplishments this year was founding The Pelvic Peace Foundation. This nonprofit was created to expand access to pelvic health education, movement, and care for women across the lifespan — from pregnancy and postpartum to survivorship and menopause. The mission is simple but powerful: to break the silence around pelvic health, remove barriers to care, and empower women with the knowledge and resources they deserve to live with strength, confidence, and dignity.

A year full of growth, purpose, family, and gratitude — and I’m stepping into what’s next with an open heart ✨

STOP doing kegels for birth prep (for now).
Hear me out 👀👇

When I was pregnant with my first, all I focused on was strengthening my pelvic floor.
My labor? Slow, tense, exhausting… and painful.

With my second pregnancy, I shifted my focus to opening + lengthening my pelvic floor — especially the back of the pelvis — and my birth was smoother, faster, and tear-free 🤍

This simple cat-cow variation with the knee elevated helps:
✔️ Open the pelvic outlet
✔️ Lengthen (not tighten) the pelvic floor
✔️ Create more space for baby to descend
✔️ Support a more coordinated pushing phase

Your pelvic floor doesn’t just need strength — it needs mobility, softness, and trust for birth.

✨ Save this for your birth prep
✨ Share with a pregnant friend
✨ Comment YES if you want more pelvis-opening exercises
