STOP doing kegels for birth prep (for now).
Hear me out 👀👇

When I was pregnant with my first, all I focused on was strengthening my pelvic floor.
My labor? Slow, tense, exhausting… and painful.

With my second pregnancy, I shifted my focus to opening + lengthening my pelvic floor — especially the back of the pelvis — and my birth was smoother, faster, and tear-free 🤍

This simple cat-cow variation with the knee elevated helps:
✔️ Open the pelvic outlet
✔️ Lengthen (not tighten) the pelvic floor
✔️ Create more space for baby to descend
✔️ Support a more coordinated pushing phase

Your pelvic floor doesn’t just need strength — it needs mobility, softness, and trust for birth.

✨ Save this for your birth prep

✨ Comment YES if you want more pelvis-opening exercises

✅ stop straining and use a
✅ don’t sit on the toilet 🚽 for longer than 5 min MAX. If you don’t 💩, get off the toilet and try again later. Your butt 🍑 in a toilet 🚽 ring while pushing is the recipe for BIG BUTT drama.

Looking for butt drama help? Grab butt ointment. My patients are loving it.

ONLY doing deep squats for “ pelvic opening” for birth prep or during labor? You’re MIsSING a BIG piece of the pelvic floor. Sure, pelvic openers are great to get baby engaged more in the pelvis BUT you also need to work on opening the bottom part of your pelvis. This will equal less pushing and tearing!
