(Taught by a Deaf instructor with a doctorate degree in education, vocabulary list curated by me with the most useful words that speech therapists recommend!) ** Autistic kids are all so different! Some kids do extremely well with signing, others may have different ways to communicate and all are valid. The point of this video is just for more people to recognize that you never know unless you try!

Same child, different mindset. This post isn’t meant to invalidate how tough it can be to have a toddler with a speech delay— some days we are frustrated and burnt out and that’s okay!
