💧Keeping Kids Hydrated This Summer! ☀️

As the temperatures rise, it’s easy for kids to get dehydrated — especially when they’re busy having fun outdoors.

🫗Tip: Offer water often, even if they don’t ask for it. Water is the BEST choice to keep your little ones hydrated. Skip sugary drinks like soda, sweet tea, and sports drinks.

It's that time of year again! My office has seen a swift rise in both Flu and RSV in the community, and we want to make sure your kids are protected. 🛡️

👶 Babies under 8 months old: Don’t forget their RSV shot (Beyfortus) to help keep them safe from Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).

🧒 Children 6 months or older: It’s the perfect time to bring them in for their annual flu shot to protect them and those around them.

Hope we all have a safe and healthy start to our school year! 📚🚌

Please remember the following tips and tricks to help get back in the swing of things and to stay well:

✏️ Healthy hygiene - frequent hand washing, coughing/sneezing into our elbows, and having our older kids keeping hand sanitizer in their backpack is an excellent idea! 🤧

✏️ Consistent bedtime routine - incorporate calm routines that include things like reading a book, warm baths, soothing music. Remember, no screen time at least one hour before bed! 🚫

✏️ Provide nutritious foods and snacks - Colorful fruits and vegetables contain vitamins, antioxidants and immune-fighting substances. Teach your kids to eat the rainbow and try a new color each week. 🌈

✏️ Stay hydrated! 💧 A good rule of thumb is to drink half your body weight in ounces each day!

✏️ Limit screen time (outside of school activity) to under two hours a day. ⏰
