The Battle Creek Pride Festival Committee, comprised entirely of volunteers, has been convening since October to meticulously plan every aspect of the event, from vendors and food trucks to entertainment and minute details. We have also been actively pursuing sponsorships and fundraising opportunities. However, as many Pride organizations can attest, the current climate is challenging. Sponsors are reducing their commitments, and while our dedicated sponsors continue to support us, funding cuts are being implemented across the board. We take great pride in offering a free Festival, with our only fees being a $5 parking charge and entry to the Afterglow Party. We are committed to maintaining this model, but we must explore alternative solutions to offset the shortfall. Every dollar counts and goes directly to the festival budget.
