I believe when I sit down to do a reading and the cards fall out of the deck, the ones that fall out are the true message.

The reading today was exactly that. The 3 cards fell out in the order and reversed as shown. I find this reading rather interesting.

The Raven is all about magic. In reverse it reads as you not using or recognizing the magic around you.

The horse is all about power. In Native American culture the horse brought power to the Sharman's who used it. Reminding us that true horse power is the wisdom found in your ability to remember all of the times you walked in another person's shoes. Your compassion, caring, loving, and ability to share your gifts and talents with the world is your gateway to power.

And finally we have the otter reversed. In reverse the otter shows that you are blocking the gifs that the Universe has been sending you. The message of the otter is to remember the only flow that matters is the flow of love from the Universe to you, from you to others, and then from others back to you, completing the circle.

Once you realize the magic is around you if you use your power of compassion and gifts from the Universe to open yourself up to receive and give yourself to others and others to return the gifts to you. You will complete the circle of magic, giving you power to help others and allowing others to help you in return...the intention of the Universal flow.

Ahhhh... spring brings the hummingbirds. Today our card reading focuses on the hummingbird.

Hummingbirds conjure love like no other medicine card does. It reminds you to have an open heart and truly experience all the love and joy your life has to offer. Without an open heart you can never truly enjoy and love life. In the reverse, like today's card, it appears that your heart center is closed. Have you unintentionally hurt someone? Why are you so sad? What has caused you the pain you are experiencing right now? Journey through your personal pain, feel it, acknowledge it, then bless and release it. Remember during this season if Lent, you are working on releasing all things that no longer serve your highest good.

Today's reading focuses on the next 43 days of Lent. I figured it would be good to look at what's upcoming during the time of release and this layout doesn't disappoint.

When you see the taking risk card, you know that it's time to let go of what's holding you back. Step out of your comfort zone and fly. You can see in the card, the eagle soaring high above the valley... you may also notice the opening in the heavens. This is telling you that your universal eye is watching and protecting your flight. Step out and fly.

Our next card is the standstill, which represents the areas in your life that you feek have come to a stop. Something isn't flowing like you feel it should. It's time for you to you look below the surface, face the truth and start working to get things moving in your life again. It's time to stop ignoring the mud and work towards slowly and steadily removing yourself from it. The worst thing to do when you're stuck in mud is to struggle. Like the turtle, slow and steady wins the race.

Finally the release card showed up again. This card is definitely appropriate during the time of lent.

Looking at this reading as a whole, I see that it's time for you to release the things that are holding you back. Unstick yourself from the mud so that you can move forward by taking the risks that you need to put you back on track. You spent a lot of time stuck in the mud hiding from the fact that there are areas of your life that are not working correctly. It's time to allow the guidance from the universe help you clear the blocks and take that leap of faith and soar like the eagle and claim what belongs to you by divine right. Lent is 43 days, you have the calendar working in your favor. Your rebirth is closer than you think.

Today we manifest the buffalo.

It has long been believed that the White Buffalo is the most sacred of all sacred animals. The appearance of the White Buffalo is a sign of abundance and the prayers you've been praying have been heard and are being answered.

The Indians used all parts of the Buffalo, none of it went to waste. They used it for food, clothing and even glue. In turn the Buffalo believed they were being used for the highest good of the Earth. That is the main reason they did not stampede or run from the hunters. The Buffalo gave of themselves their abundance. They were in affect, the answer to the prayers of the Indians.

The Indians believe that the medicine of the Buffalo is knowing that abundance is ever present. Abundance will flow as long as you honor all your relations as sacred, and express gratitude towards every living part of creation.

You must think of this card as sacred as well. Give praise for what you've received and pray for others so that they receive as well. Pray for the good of all things and accept the gifts of the Buffalo. For without the aid of the Great Spirit, you would achieve nothing. Therefore, you must be humble enough to ask for what you need and be grateful for what you are given.

As it is written so it shall be granted by the Great Spirit.
