From 2 am till 12 pm Monday. Heavy rain is expected overnight, increasing the risk of flash flooding in low-lying and poorly drained areas.

Today was an exciting day for Beardstown Ambulance and for the citizens of Cass County. One that we have been waiting for for almost two and a half years. Today we accepted delivery of 2 brand new ambulances made by Osage Ambulances in Linn Missouri. Both ambulance are 2024 Ford F550 chasis with four wheel drive, liquid gel suspension, they have identical compartment layout and other features, which include power loading cots. They are not quite ready to be put into service yet, they still have to be stocked with supplies, have some additional equipment installed and be inspected and certified. We would like to thank the Beardstown Health Care Foundation for their assistance in acquiring these new rigs. Without their help, this day would probably not be a reality.

Mother Nature is gonna show us all the seasons in a 24 hour period again. We currently have a Wind Advisory until 7am Thursday and a Red Flag warning until 7pm tonight. We strongly discourage any outdoor burning under a Red Flag warning.
