Last week was big for TAN Healthcare and Southeast Texas! ❤️🩺
We’re proud to partner with the American Heart Association to bring one of their new table-top blood pressure stations right here to Jefferson County.

These stations are being placed across Texas in highly trafficked community locations to help more people check their blood pressure easily and regularly. Our staff will receive specialized training in AHA’s MAP process — Measuring Accurately, Acting Rapidly, and Partnering with Patients — to ensure every person who sits at this machine has access not just to a number, but to real support and resources. Our unit will be installed as part of our Healthy Report Card Tour initiative. When you see the mobile unit, stop by and get your pressure checked!

As grant funding allows, stations will include extended cuffs, and individual home blood pressure monitors will also be provided to help community members monitor their numbers from home. Educational materials, training, and follow-up visits are all part of this effort to make heart health more accessible to the people who need it most.

Huge thank-you to our partners at AHA and Molina Healthcare for helping make this possible. And thank you to our team and community partners who showed up today—you all make the work feel lighter. ❤️

We’re proud to share exciting news from the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC)!

TACHC has announced its 2025–2026 Board of Directors, representing community health centers across Texas who work together to expand access to quality, affordable healthcare for all.

We’re especially proud to congratulate our own CEO, Dena Hughes, who will serve on the Board this year. Her leadership and dedication continue to strengthen TAN Healthcare and the broader community health center movement.

These board members represent 79 community health centers that care for more than 1.9 million Texans each year—a powerful reminder of the impact of community-based care.

We’re thankful to serve our neighbors in Orange County! Join The Salvation Army for the 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 1950 MLK Drive, Orange, TX.

This is a drive-thru-only event for Orange County residents. Distribution begins at 9:00 AM and continues until food runs out. Proof of residency is required. Up to two families per vehicle.

Special thanks to Entergy and Chevron Phillips Chemical for and helping us bring Thanksgiving home to Orange County!
