Due to no pre-bookings and wanting to ensure a dry rink for classes at 5pm and open skate, we’re cancelling the morning open skate to opt for earlier floor cleaning time.

5:30pm Foundations in Roller Skating
6:30pm Rhythm Skate Class
7:30pm-10:30pm Open Skate w/ Dj Enso

$10 to skate, $2 rentals. Rentals include as much or as little as you need to rent for the flat fee (skates, pads, helmet)
We offer 2 morning (playlist/boombox) and 1 evening (DJ’d w better sound) Open skates at the PDX Fieldhouse on Sw Allen Blvd in Beaverton.

This is an inline roller hockey rink with sport court flooring that actually doesn’t suck. We’ll follow rink etiquette as follows: Fast skaters to the outer circle, slower skaters 3-4 feet off the wall and dance skaters in the middle. Please give beginners some room for their anxiety. If you see someone fall, ask if they are ok or need help. Please do not cut through the middle of the rink when there are dance skaters there. Any wheel will be great here.
Help us grow our indoor open skate on the westside and share this with skaters you know would enjoy it.

Everything you participate in with SOS you acknowledge that you are participating at your own risk and will be asked to sign waivers good for the year.

Foundations in Roller Skating class, is where you’ll develop essential skate skills to enhance your control and confidence on wheels. While we cover skills like strides, stops, turns, pivots, spins at random. Skaters may have the opportunity to express their focus areas to break through the struggle bus they may be on. In this class, the whole group is working on the same skills focus. Each Class will be different and we will not be keeping track.

Intermediate Class Prerequisites: must be able to skate forward and backwards, stop in both directions, transition from forward-backward-forward, and hold a 1 foot glide for 5 seconds.

In Rhythm Skate Class, you’ll learn a variety of rhythm skating routines and choreography. Some of the routines have a base rhythm skating pattern and then call outs off of base like “Downtown” or “G-Slide”. You’ll learn how to follow the leader and understand when to execute moves. In this class we can really slow it down and drill it to build muscle memory. We are more focused on learning the pattern of the choreography than we are about learning the skills.

If in class there is a skill in a routine you need help getting in control of, you will book a Footwork Essentials class to focus and learn how to control the individual dance/skate skill.

Prerequisites: must be able to skate forward and backwards, stop in both directions, transition from forward-backward-forward, and hold a 1 foot glide for 5 seconds.

In Footwork Essentials Class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of balance, edges, rotation and posture as they apply to common footwork used to roller skate. We’ll practice footwork skills encouraging both structured and freestyle expression. This is a class where you learn to do individual skate skills like pivots, spins, grapevine, snakewalk, dribbles, hez, zero, different transitions, crossovers, etc. This class is slightly different than the one offered at the rink in that the class size is capped at 25 at the studio vs 40 at the rink. At the Studio, you’ll get a lot more attention. Either way we meet you where you’re at and help elevate you closer to the goal..

$450/Wk 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
Kids Learn-to-Roller-Skate Camp will be hosted at SOS Skate Studio in the Lloyd Center Mall. We are located on the 2nd Floor near the old Marshalls location. Your child will enjoy skate instruction, skate games, and guided arts and crafts. You will provide morning and afternoon snacks, bagged lunch, and plenty of water.

Drop off is at 9:30am-9:45am and pick up is 2:15pm-2:30pm.

$1 will be charged for every minute past 2:30pm.

We’ll need a minimum of 4 kids to run camp for the day. Tell your friends!

Capacity is 10 skaters. Don’t wait.. reserve your kids spot now!

Options to book by the day will open up the Saturday before camp week if space remains available.
