Think of being "present" as simply being aware and balanced in this moment.

I like to use the analogy of the sailboat and that "present" is the keel of the boat. The keel properly insures that the force of the direction (past or future) is weighted to the base of your journey's vehicle and that the power coming from leaning in balance against that force creates the proper, balanced energy to forge ahead on your journey.

Both as a person and as a coach, great positive energy can come from turning with sail into the energy of our past or future. The key is the weighted keel - the balance of the "present" and the place from which we find the stability to harness life's force into our progress.(c)

Nature is a powerful portal to present moment. It means that when observing nature, it's easy to get the mind calm, feel your body fully and feel immediate deep joy. You must be silent though for this to happen. Im talking about a few seconds of a councious silence here and there, no need to sit under the tree for half of day. Also, catch the moment when you see something new and the mind didn't jump in yet, finding names, comparing, analyzing etc. And try to stay longer in that state of pure perception. It will bring you peace.

Mindfulness makes life so much easier. Don't even for a moment think that it's something complicated, deep, and special....

Mindfulness makes life so much easier. Don't even for a moment think that it's something complicated, deep, and special. It's the foundation of everything existing. Be present in LIFE. Not get lost in the mind 's endless conceptions, but be present here and now, seeing the world bright and vibrant, feeling deep peace and knowing what is the best action RIGHT NOW.
