The Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc. (PMCFI), under the dedicated leadership of Executive Director Lt. Gen. Juancho M. Sabban AFP (Ret) and Chief Finance Officer BGen. Rodylyn T. Manzano PN(M) (Res), Col. Hernanie S. Songano PN(M)(Ret), Director, Kabayanihan Program, PMCFI. successfully conducted the Health & Wellness Program 2026, February 6, 2026, at the Senior NCO’s Club House, Bonifacio Naval Station. In a partnership with Hands for Vitality, this initiative centered on a specialized Chiropractic Care Activity designed to provide essential physical support to the men and women of the Philippine Marine Corps.

This wellness mission directly benefited our active-duty personnel, retirees, and reservists, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to the long-term health of those who serve. We extend our deepest gratitude to the MC7, HHSG, MC2, MC3, MOC, MC9, MC Surgeon and our generous partner stakeholders: NHSE Essential Oils, Top Vision, Human Nature, and MX3 along with our selfless volunteers. Through these collaborative efforts, the PMCFI continues to uphold its mission of fostering a resilient and healthy Marine community.

Special thanks to Dr. Martin G. Camara, DC ICSC of Intercare Chiropractic and CDR Marie-Paul B. de Luna PN(Res) PhD MNSA of Hands for Vitality for the continuous collaboration.

Today was the day to rest before we start tonight at 7pm a 12 hours long buss journey back to Manila.

The city officials took us out to see their active volcano Muyon. It was unfortunately really cloudy, but also due to the volcano activity it was under alert level 3. We didn’t see much, but we did learn that the tower behind me is actually leftover from the church buried in lava after the volcano erupted first time in late 1800s.

Until next work day.

Last day at Philippines. It was really emotional seeing the young girl who was totally fine until 5 years ago when she had her first seizure. According to her parents she also had a stroke at the same time. Since then she can’t talk, feed herself or speak. She can say some words, but word at the time. I was fighting tears while working with her, but her beautiful smile was contagious.

The pregnant nurse was surprised we can do chiropractic treatments for pregnant ladies. Many people still don’t know that even in the states.

The young students from work so hard. They really go above and beyond to help every person they work with. So proud of them.

And of course, another amaing performance by the local quire.

Until next post from Philippines. e

Same day at Philippines as video I posted earlier. It was such a great day.

Another day in Philippines. Amazing . The city had a welcome program for the volunteers The appreciation is overwhelming. I couldn’t help it but think of my last volunteer trip to Bosnia. This old English guy that volunteers every year for 3-5 weeks loves to go have a dinner after we finish each week. Last time was just him and I so we went together. I suggested this place that is really traditional and he was really happy since he never had that kind of food. Fast forward, I’m helping translate the guy at the place and mentioned the owner how he is here to volunteer, we bith volunteer for the same organisation and the owner “I’m also burning here in the heat as well”! I don’ volunteer for the appreciation, and a lot of times wonder even if I should share my photos, and the only reason I do is in hope to motivate others to do it. Doing things from your heart for others is the best reward one can get.

Day two in the Philippines. What an experience. People here are surely grateful for the smallest things. This takes me back to my El Salvador mission trip in 2016. The support staff at each location goes above and beyond to help you. They literally walked me to the restroom so I wouldn’t get lost, not just the first day but both days so far.
