If there's one traditional spring activity I love, it's a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt! But not just because they're fun. Because the pediatric physical therapist nerd in me LOVES the developmental benefits. From babies to bigger kids, everyone benefits!

This tummy time session is successful because the stimulus is at just the height we want baby’s attention to be for him to lift his head up - eye level. It wasn’t needed here, but if the baby had put his head down, I would turn his body 90 degrees so he would be looking straight at the guitar and his dad’s hand.)

During my two decades providing physical therapy in hospitals and clinics, some of the most special patients I had the privilege of knowing had rare diseases. (I know I wasn’t supposed to have favorites, but how could I not?) I think of them often, and am thankful for what they taught me professionally, as well as personally. So today, on Rare Disease Day, I’m spreading the word about an advocacy effort to help provide better healthcare and accessibility to those with rare diseases. 💙 💜
