What am I doing for cardio this summer?

When summer gets closer, I always add a little more cardio into my routine. This summer my goal is to do 120 min on the stairmaster every week. I’m not going to be strict with what days I do it or how I spread it out, but 120+ min a week will be a nonnegotiable.

I have been focusing on doing exercises I enjoy and can fit into my busy schedule because it’s not always easy to fit a workout in. I have been really loving the stairmaster, walks, and I aim for 3 lifts a week.

I don’t have any super specific physique goals, so doing workouts I enjoy has really kept me more consistent.

If you want to add more cardio in this summer, I challenge you to pick your favorite form of cardio (stairs, incline walks, running, etc.) and set a specific amount of time you want to do each week. This will hold you accountable and make it easier to accomplish!

Tag a friend and do it together for even more motivation!

I want to start posting some of my workouts again so here was my cardio workout from today:

32 min total on the stairmaster

• 20 min level 8
• 8 min level 9
• 1 min 30 sec level 13
• 30 sec level 15
• 2 min level 4 cool down

My Fitness Journey:

Everyone’s journey looks different, but here is the stages I went through to get me to where I am today!

1. Hating my body, but knowing enough about fitness or nutrition to really change it. Tried different fad diets all the time but when they didn’t work I went back to eating whatever I wanted and rarely exercising.

2. Wanting to be as skinny as possible, undereating, over exercising, doing only cardio and abs, always tired, cold, and irritatable.

3. Finding a balance in fitness. Prioritizing weight training and protein, prioritizing rest and recovery, realizing it’s okay to not have a ”perfect” diet, eating mainly healthy foods but also allowing myself to have the things I crave in moderation. More happy and confident than ever before.
