Janet Daniel recently visited Raleigh General Hospital for voice treatment and is pictured here with Speech Pathologist Cami Morris after making progress through speech therapy. We love celebrating our patients and the relationships built along the way. Speech therapy can help with a variety of communication challenges, including voice, speech, language, and swallowing difficulties. If you or a loved one are experiencing changes in speech or language, talk with your doctor to see if speech therapy may be right for you.

Today on Trauma Survivors Day, we recognize the strength and determination it takes to overcome life-changing injuries. As the highest-level trauma center within a 55-mile radius, Raleigh General Hospital plays a critical role in stabilizing and caring for seriously injured patients when seconds matter most. On December 27, 2025, Tyler Bragg’s life changed in an instant after a serious UTV accident. Severely injured, Tyler faced months of surgeries, rehabilitation, and recovery. What followed was a journey that tested not only him, but also his family, especially his wife, Sydnie, an Emergency Department nurse at Raleigh General Hospital. Trauma Survivors Day is about more than survival. It’s about perseverance, healing, and the people who walk alongside patients every step of the way. Today, we celebrate Tyler and all trauma survivors whose stories inspire us every day.
