Read my story of where I have been and find ways to make positive health changes in your life. It all began around 2011, when I discovered I had some enlarged lymph nodes in my abdomen. I made an appointment immediately with an oncologist to get to the bottom of this. Cancer did not run in my family. For several years, I did Labs and CT Scans. In 2014, I had a Pet Scan. Lymph nodes had grown to 8mm and tumors were everywhere. I also had fluid in my chest due to the tumors squeezing fluid from the lymph glands. I was a colossal mess! In January 2015, I as admitted to the hospital for my first chemo treatment. By this time, I was Stage 4 with about 2 months to live. I spent 15 days there with several in ICU where I nearly died. I WAS DETERMINED TO LIVE. In my mind,I believed that I would live, and told everyone who came into my room that "I came to live and would walk out of there." Most of my stay there, I was bedridden, and having been an active person...well...this was the PITS! In June 2015, I had completed 8 rounds of chemo. Pet Scan showed all tumors were GONE. My diagnosis was Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a rare non-hogkins Lymphoma, treatable, not curable. I am now on a 2 year maintenance program, no chemo. In March 2016, my last Pet Scan showed NO TUMORS. My oncologist told me I did NOT HAVE LYMPHOMA! NO MENTION OF TREATABLE, NOT CURABLE! My healing is both spiritual and physical. I am a Christian which means that Jesus, my Lord and Savior carried all my sins and diseases to the cross and paid the price for them there. So, I have told my oncologist, who is also a Christian, that she has given me a diagnosis, prognosis, and treating the symptoms of the disease, but I don't have the disease! On a physical level, I HAD TO MAKE MAJOR CHANGES IN MY LIFE. Minimize stress, change eating habits, exercise are just some of these. I did my homework! I researched the disease and contributors to it. I needed to understand this enemy! Just because I have been given CANCER FREE does not mean I can return to the previous life I was living. In June 2015, I had my last visit with a Home Health nurse (who wasn't supposed to be there) because I was dismissed from their services a week earlier. She was my "angel in disguise!" She called and said, “I need to see you today.” This was very unusual, because they rarely come the same day, and she used the words, “I need to see you today.” I told her that I was confused because I had been dismissed the previous week. She asked who dismissed me and I told her. Then she said these interesting words, "He wasn't supposed to tell you that." I thought about this a lot afterwards. When she arrived, she asked me what I had been doing before I got ill. I told her about ministering in prisons and jails. Then, she asked me about my illness and said she had come to teach me how to command my cells. Keep in mind that we live and die at the cellular level. These are the words she gave me. "OPEN UP...RELEASE THE SOUNDS THAT GOD PLACED IN YOU WHEN HE CREATED YOU, AND COME INTO PERFECT HARMONY WITH THE FREQUENCY OF JESUS!"
So strange these words, but very powerful! She left, and I never heard from her again. The next week, I called Home Health to find out if I would have a visit from them, and was told that I had been dismissed the week prior to this lady's visit. They did not know she had come to see me!
