A Surprise stop and a cheerful boost! We’re celebrating another joyful visit from the Cheer Cart - made possible by the generous support of Freedom Federal Credit Union. What made this visit extra special? It was a spontaneous stop on our Team Member Experience Manager’s way to Target one brisk Saturday in September, bringing unexpected cheer to our team!

The Cheer Cart is still stocked with healthy and energizing options! From crisp apples and sugar-free treats to baked chips, granola bars, and even gluten-free choices, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

When our community and our Bel Air Emergency Department experienced a particularly challenging day, nursing managers from across medical centers stepped in to show their support. Team members from our Aberdeen ED and Behavioral Health Pavilion rallied together to gather and deliver an assortment of beverages, snacks and seasonal Halloween treats to lift spirits and offer encouragement.

This thoughtful gesture reflects the culture of care and teamwork that defines UM UCH. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the day a little brighter for their colleagues.

Recently, our Family Birthplace donated clinical equipment to CCBC. Cindy Morse, Nursing Simulation Lab Manager and Associate Professor at CCBC Essex, accepted the infant and toddler supplies for training. The donation included two cribs and two warmers at no cost.

Special thanks to Chief Nursing Officer Michelle D’Alessandro and Family Birthplace Nurse Manager Annmarie Moore for making this possible. We hope it provides nursing students with valuable hands-on experience for their continued education.
