Ira Ghosh, a current student in PCI’s Parent Coach Certification program, recently took the TEDx stage to explore how implicit bias forms early in childhood — through culture, observation, and the unspoken messages kids absorb every day.

Drawing on global education work across 37 countries, Ira shares how psychological safety, curiosity, and conscious guidance can move families and communities from bias toward belonging.

We’re proud to see members of the PCI community leading conversations that shape not just families, but society.

The Plum You're Going to Eat Next Summer
doesn't exist yet; its potential
lives inside a tree you'll never see
in an orchard you'll never see, will be touched
by a certain number of water droplets
before it reaches you, by certain angles
of light, by a finite amount of bugs
and dust motes and hands
you'll never know. The plum you are
going to eat next summer will gather
sugar, gather mass, will harden
at its center so it can soften toward
your mouth. The plum
you're going to eat next
summer doesn't know
you exist. The plum you are
going to eat next summer
is growing just for you.

We heartily welcome, Jumana Sweidan, PCI Certified Parent Coach®, to our global website directory of PCI Parent Coaches!

Jumana is the mother of two and is clear about her role of parent being the “most meaningful part of her life, shaping the empathy and insight” she brings to her parent coaching. She has dedicated the past twenty years to education: first teaching primary and middle school students, and, for the past nine years, focusing passionately on early childhood education in kindergarten. These experiences have deepened her understanding of children’s developmental needs and strengthened her commitment to supporting families in facing their challenges in different stages of their children’s lives.

Jumana’s coaching style is compassionate, practical, and empowering—she meets parents where they are and helps them discover strategies that fit their family. She deeply believes in the power of a growth mindset as a lifelong approach to learning and living. In Jumana’s own words:

“Working with me means gaining a supportive partner who listens deeply, offers evidence-based tools, and celebrates your growth. Together, we can transform everyday struggles into opportunities for connection, confidence, and joy. With the support of the PCI coaching model, transformation and positive inspiration is bound to happen to you and to your whole family.”
