🎤 Karaoke, Cake, and Community! 🎂🎶

We were delighted when the amazing students from Shuksan Middle School recently visited Alderwood Park Health and Rehab for a Karaoke Social! 💙

The room came alive with music, laughter, and joyful connections as students and residents sang their hearts out together. 🎵✨

To make the visit even sweeter, the students brought a beautiful cake to share with everyone—a thoughtful gesture that truly warmed our hearts. 🍰💕

These intergenerational moments mean so much. Thank you, Shuksan Middle School, for your kindness, energy, and generosity. We look forward to your next visit!

Last week, we were thrilled to unveil the Alderwood Art Wall, a stunning showcase of the incredible artwork created by our talented residents! 🖌️💖

The wall was filled with a diverse collection of masterpieces—each piece a beautiful reflection of the creativity, imagination, and passion of our community. From vibrant paintings to intricate drawings, the artwork truly captured the spirit of Alderwood and the unique perspectives of our residents. 🌈🎨

The unveiling event was full of pride and excitement, as families, staff, and residents gathered to admire the artwork and celebrate the creativity that makes Alderwood such a special place. It was a heartwarming reminder of the power of self-expression and the beauty that comes from everyone’s individual talents. 💫

A huge thank you to all the artists who contributed their work and to the entire community for making this event such a memorable celebration! The Alderwood Art Wall is now a permanent display, a true tribute to the incredible creativity of our residents. 🌸🎉

🧳👯‍♀️✨ Dress-Up Days at Alderwood Park – A Highlight of National Nursing Home Week! 🎉👗

Last week during National Nursing Home Week, we turned up the fun with a series of Dress-Up Days that brought out the creativity, laughter, and team spirit in everyone at Alderwood Park! 💃🎭

We kicked things off with Tacky Tourist Day, where residents and staff rocked Hawaiian shirts, sunhats, and socks with sandals—ready to take a vacation, no passport needed! 🌴🕶️

Next was Twin Day, where friends and coworkers teamed up to dress alike, and yes, even bosses got in on the fun with some hilarious "dressed as your boss" moments! 👯‍♂️📋

Then we traveled back in time for Rockabilly Day, with retro vibes, leather jackets, poodle skirts, and a special visit from Elvis! It was a 50’s throwback with all the flair, fun, and, of course, root beer floats! 🎸👑🍦

And to top it all off, we wrapped up with Sparkle Day, where the halls literally glittered with sequins, glitter, and all things shiny! ✨🌟

With so many fun, themed days throughout the week, National Nursing Home Week at Alderwood was full of laughter, color, and memories made. We sure know how to celebrate in Alderwood style! 💜👠🎊

🌸🍦 Sweet Treats, Furry Friends & Flower Power at Alderwood Park! 🐰🌧️🌼

What a fun-filled day at Alderwood Park! Residents, staff, and families all got to enjoy yummy frozen treats from Cosmic Ice Cream—the perfect way to add some sweetness to the day! 🍦✨

We also had a heartwarming visit from Animals for Natural Therapy, featuring a mini pony, bunnies, and more cuddly critters that brought smiles and joy to everyone. 🐴🐇💕

And even though the weather didn’t fully cooperate, that didn’t stop us from getting our hands dirty and planting beautiful spring flowers to brighten up our space. Rain or shine, we grow together! 🌼🌦️💪
