Laura Freed, MPT is the practice owner and physical therapist. Laura Freed grew up in Parkersburg, WV. She attended Parkersburg South High School and West Virginia University. She graduated in 2003 from WVU with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. Fascinated with the human spine, Laura's education did not end at WVU. She has attended numerous continuing education courses focusing on treatment of the spine. Laura has nine years of clinical experience as a staff physical therapist in orthopedic clinics where she focused on orthopedic and spine health. During this time, she earned repeated commendations for providing high-quality, compassionate care. Laura has three years of teaching and management experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant Program director. During this time, she taught Introduction to Clinical Settings, Introduction to Physical Therapy, Geriatrics, Musculoskeletal Dysfunction, Physical Therapy Procedures, and Therapeutic Exercise. Frank Oppenheimer was credited with the old saying, "the best way to learn is to teach". Therefore, Laura is well-versed in a broad range of physical therapy programs, treatments, and modalties that focus on restoring function and decreasing disability for diseased and injured patients.
