Embrace monkeying around 🙈!

Being the monkey means we can be silly, we can have an openness to our playful side. We can smile and laugh. We can chase the curiosity of fun & wittiness. When we can embrace being the Monkey 🐒 we have a good sense of Self because we don’t care what people think. We are grounded in our self-worth and can be our true authentic playful selves. 🙃

Sometimes being a grown-up comes with a lot of responsibilities that can weight us down. The monkey 🐵 provides a mantra to brake out of that seriousness of life and embody the humor & fun side of life. 💞

NVC - needs for fun, play, humor, joy, laughter, & lightness.

🧘🏼‍♀️ I am an eagle soaring high, I take in a deep breath & fill my lungs with energy, as I become aware of life’s connectivity. 🦅

The eagle represents sadness & grief. When we feel grief we tend to cave our shoulders in constricting our chest.

Our lungs are most active 3-5am according to the Chinese Meridian Clock. When we can breath deeply it allows for our lungs to expand. Then we can spread our wings wide by using our hands on our sternum and spread the fascia apart. Then move and twist around.

Grief is so hard and when we can breath and open up our chest energy can flow with ease. Then maybe we can connect or mourn the needs met or unmet.

Be the Bear. 🐻 I AM PROTECTED! 💥

I bought my mom a bear mug long ago and I use it every time I go visit my dad. When mom and I went to a meditation class that our acupuncturist held, the bear symbolized a sense of peace, eat and drink in the moment. Mindful of the present. Bears hibernate and know how to rest. I drink tea out of her cup and remember I AM THE BEAR! Fun mantra to have.

Bears are also protectors and to know that you are protected and are a good protector. It’s sometimes scary to go through things alone and to remember we are protected. We can support our needs.

In NVC the needs for safety, protection physically & or emotionally, rest, sleep, presence, awareness, bravery, positive energy, & support.

👇🏽 Drop a ❤️🫶🏽💞 Below ✨👇🏽

Failure is inevitable at some point big or small. The way we hold space, self-compassion, warmth & accompaniment makes a difference in how we experience failures / mistakes. There are unmet needs in the moment of failures. After reflection of failures there might be future met needs.

Feelings that come up when I fail : disappointment “darn it, this sucks” discouraging “ugh I wish this went differently”

Unmet needs: competency, knowledge, understanding,

Met needs after : growth, learning, clarity, resilience, perseverance 🫶🏽

❣️What are your unmet/met needs?

Morning Mantra: “The Dragon 🐉 I will be, with joy in my heart ❤️ and Living Life Gratefully 🙏🏽”

The Dragon represents the Heart organ, the element is Fire 🔥, the Balance is gratitude & the emotion is Joy 🥹.

The dragon likes to stay even and balanced and floating in the middle where we find needs that are met. When we are imbalanced we might feel melancholy & tired.

✨❄️ Inspired by my friend who teaches yoga 🩵

She said “watching the snow fall was a stillness, a moment to be in the present.” Where can we be timeless?

🩵🤍 What other needs are met when we can be in the stillness of timeless??? 🤍🩵

NEEDS: serenity, ease, centeredness, balance, safety, presence, healing, harmony, radical acceptance. ✨

🐅 In Chinese Medicine the Tiger represents the feelings of anger, rage, fury, aggravation & or frustration. To be the Tiger is to allow yourself to feel these emotions as scary as it might seem. The imbalance is holding all these feelings inside & not letting the feelings be felt in the body. These emotions are of the Liver. The Liver is in dysfunction when we have repressed emotions of anger.

NEEDS behind anger: justice, fairness, respect, acknowledgment, recognition, to be understood, to be heard…what are your needs when you feel rage? 😡

The Tiger also has strengths of a leader with ambition, knowledge & physical effectiveness.

Be the Tiger, roar and stretch your muscles, what will be will be. We can be the Tiger and feel those feelings of frustration arise. It’s bravery when we can express ourselves fully.

There are movements and maneuvers that can help the Liver Qi (energy) flow. Comment 🐅 if you would like to know what the movement is. 👇🏽

Today is that day! 🙏🏽💞

🕯️Finding rest and not putting those self-judgements on ourself to do anything else. Just be. No expectations, just do nothing. We owe it to our bodies to find rest, ease, peace & relaxation. ✨🧘🏼‍♀️
