The world is heavy and our work has always been centered on lightening that load, creating and holding space for our community to heal, and fostering connection with nature, community and self.

In the sauna we shed our layers of identity and are brought into the recognition of our common flesh and blood. Sauna creates a safe space that tends to breed connection, conversation, and respectful exchange of ideas. It is our highest intention to continue to serve our community by holding space for all to come and heal and find a common thread with the human sitting across the bench.

We have an abundance of fresh lavender growing and in bloom all over the property 💜🙌🏼 well cut you some fresh and show you how to use it in the sauna to augment your session and delight your senses!

Ya’ll!! We’ve been holding this in for a hot minute and it’s been sooo hard! 🙌🏼❤️🔥🤭🤫

HANAI SAUNA GARDEN!!!! 🌺🌺🌺
We are overjoyed 🥰🤗 to officially announce that we have found a new long term home !! That’s right we’re bringing traditional sauna and wild outdoor bathing to the East side of Bend starting next week!!! We’re starting a summer residency and are looking to build a long term home base and HQ for our network of wild spas and Hanai has been the most beautifully and perfectly aligned partner to graciously share space with us so we can mutually flourish and better serve our community!! We couldn’t be more grateful to have found such a truly kindred partner in Hanai!!
If you’ve somehow (gasp!) not heard of Hanai Foundation yet, check it out! It’s a nonprofit and design + intention forward sacred wellness space and community hub located on 9 beautiful acres on the East side of Bend! Hanai hosts all kinds of wellness and community events and activities year-round. The name comes from the Hawaiian word for “To Nurture” which couldn’t be more aligned with our mission at Gather: community and nature connection, inner nurturing!!
Some FAQ’s:
✅ This space will allow us to focus more on our events and wellness collaborations and unique sauna offerings: think herbal rituals and garden herbs, yoga, Breathwork, Meditation, & sauna + so much more! 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘‍♂️
✅ Yes! We still intend to continue our seasonal sessions at the river!! (Season Oct-May)
✅ there is no natural plunge at this location but we’ll have cold plunges, bucket showers, and hot/cold rain showers 🚿💦

Happy Mother’s Day! Sometimes I feel like sauna embodies what true material loving energy feels like. It’s holds you, it nurtures you, it asks you to just be yourself and it asks for nothing in return and loves you just as you are ❤️
Becoming a sauna mama while raising this little sweet pea has been the greatest joy and most vibrant journey I could ever imagine! It’s definitely challenging to raise a family while raising a business but it’s also sooo rich with that “good hard” kind of energy 💕🙌🏼 I’m so incredibly grateful for the privilege of being this little one’s mama and grateful for the chance to show her what following your dreams looks like! 🌈❤️
To all our sauna fam friends: whatever this day looks and holds for you in relationship with motherhood, we’re sending you some sauna mama energy love 💕

Just a little reminder sauna fam - this is our last actual weekend to book sauna at the river as our last day at Riverbend Park will be May 16th!! Get those last spots booked now for your last sweat-river sesh before fall!
To our members and spa pack holders we’ll still have sessions for you (and everyone) between May-Oct at a different location to be shared imminently and we have SO MUCH we’re working on in the background to announce soon as well! The heat and the cold are such beautifully simplistic and wise teachers for our bodies, minds, and souls in trauma recovery and nervous system regulation and resilience! But why?
Here are a few of the reasons broken down to help us answer this question and dig deeper into how thermic bathing can uniquely and effectively assist us in trauma recovery and addressing mental health concerns so that we can get back to living a resilient life! 💓🔆🙌🏼
It’s a beautiful thing when healing can be found in the most basic and elemental of resources freely available to us…like the wisdom of HEAT and COLD. 🙏🏼❤️

Happy WORLD SAUNA DAY! Here’s a few snaps of saunas/pirts places, plant whisks, plunges, herbs, sweat sessions and alllll good things sauna from my travels/training in Latvia summer 2023 🙌🏼☀️🌱
What we’re doing here in North America to bring these authentic traditions of sauna to the US is exciting and wonderful and inspiring….but for the love of Loyly, get yourself to the mother lands of these traditions and experience them in their places of origin and connect with the incredible people/stewards of the lands and traditions and be richer in your soul for having had the experience! 💚

I’ve been photographing this little tree by our sauna through the seasons and I’ve decided I’m going to name it the Gathering tree! 🌲💚
The thing (well one of many things) oh so sweet about bathing in nature is the opportunity to connect more deeply with place through the changing season and cycles of nature. We align with the Earth’s cycles and we watch a place grow and change just as we are ever growing and changing, shifting and cycling. We can say, “I know all these sides of you” to one another and there is a warm and familiar feeling of belonging.

Sauna friends: a couple of slight changes to our first run of our nervous system series:
1️⃣ For this first time it will be a weekly drop-in group so folks can get a taste of what we are doing before committing to a full closed group 6 week series in the future.
2️⃣ It will also start later for those 9-5ers so we’ll run it weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm
3️⃣ The groups will still build with different skills taught and practiced in-sauna and plunge each week - so book one, a few or all 6 sessions as works for you!!
